Shared a lift with Alex Salmond this morning... that was unexpected...

Never an unexpected lift share. Had lunch next to American actress Wendie Malick at a restaurant in Buffalo, NY. Dave Matthews, of the Dave Matthews Band, held the door for me at the Barnes & Nobles in Charlottesville, VA.

Not unexpected, but amazing - Had an intimate dinner for four with the Irish actor Aidan Gillen in Baltimore, MD. Winning the opportunity to have dinner with him in a charity auction was very unexpected, especially for my poor husband who had not authorized my tipsy bidding. Luckily, this was about ten years ago, well before Game of Thrones became a phenomenon for HBO. Was also for a really good cause.
 
I didn't share a lift with Peter Kay.

(Was waiting for lift with friend, went to get something, came back friend gone, when I found friend on ground floor "I just shared lift with Peter Kay" was all he could say... Cue very expensive car drive past with someone who looks like Peter Kay... Mother fucker )(yes I know but it's an appropriate MF!)

Tipsy spending completely acceptable if for a good cause. I always double up donations because my other donates nothing... I then tell him how much he’s donated :D. He doesn’t even grumble anymore...

Very jealous of Aidan Gillen, that’s amazing... his accent makes me laugh in GoT though... it tends to travel...

In sex degrees of very tenuous seperation, I do know someone that knows Emilia Clarke’s mum well - it’s his favourite titbit at parties, that he knows the mother of the mother of dragons...;)

Haha! I love it - I think ‘I nearly shared a lift with Peter Kay’ is possibly a better fact than actually sharing one... I like the idea of really shit claims to fame...

I once shared a lift with Harold MacMillan (me PM, dont PM me). Lift in Westbury Hotel to 5th floor), he thanked mebfor pressing the button
