Hello from London!

Weekend plans: I might go and see Stan and Ollie. I’m waiting in for an Amazon parcel today. Supposed to go for blood test, but that’s not happening now, so that will knock over on to Tuesday or Monday afternoon. Saturday: probably see Stan and Ollie.

Housework calls: writing buddy coming over on Sunday, so got to figure in some writing time as well. Also, got furniture delivery and collection on Monday morning. Donating my sofa back to the charity I got it from, those guys need it and deserve it more than any other charity. Also going is a bookshelf and dining table that have been replaced.

Adding in to the clean ready for furniture, I’m thinking about thinning down the bookshelves again. Beginning to realise that so many books is not always a good thing.

Oh. And. I want to plan my allotment out. You see: high quality, sexy time plans with me.

Fair enough - but even if you bothered to specifically exclude plumbers, pizza and other delivery men from your search criteria I'm shocked a few didn't make it through!

You might think so.. but my search terms might shock you somewhat...

Very high quality plans, I am quite jealous.. culture, purchasing, purges and planning... that’s a pretty full weekend...

As a recovering Catholic, are there many saints who don’t sound a bit unhinged?

HAHA!

There was a very entertaining Twitter thingy last year in which people volunteered their favourite Crap Miracles - such as one of St Martin's miracles is that one day he wanted some fish, but there wasn't any fish, so he told someone to get him some, and they did.

Check it out if bored with the lewdness of lit...

Tha e coltach ri àm spòrsail. Tha mo fhèileadh aig mo mhac

1. Kinda hot. You're fueling my Outlander fantasies. :catroar:
2. Translation please. Google translate (Scots Gaelic to English) is giving me "It's like a funny time to my son's kilt."

which reminds me...is the long john paired pic thing on or off?

I am still in. Guess we have to decide on a pose. Maybe a side/back view from the waist down, with a hand pulling them down to flash a bit of bum cheek? I won't be able to submit a sample shot to those participating until next Monday. Anyone who is still up for it, pm me. Please feel free to submit any other pose ideas, with or without a pic. I am confident that Guy, Pol, and AP are in. That means I am looking at you, Ruth, Mr. D, and any other proud long john wearing member of this motley crew. :cattail:

1. Thank you.
2. You have a kilt. *swoons*
3. There is a "Men in Kilts" thread on The Playground.
4. I speak for barefootgirl and Wild Honey when I say that we need you to take back possession of said kilt, put it on, take photos, and post them on the above referenced thread.

You been before or is this your first time? How wide is the surrounding area? Are you driving or relying on public transport??

This will be my first time. I believe I'll be spreading my time between Birmingham, Northhampton, and London. I'm down with public transport/fast trains but may have use of a car at times as well.

If you are making it as far as Birmingham, you might as well go 20 miles further and see Stratford (where Shakespeare lived - not to be mistaken with Stratford in London which is mostly a shopping centre...)

In Birmingham, if a Tolkien fan, get yourself over to Sarehole Mill - he lived nearby and said later it inspired the Mill at Hobbiton.

If you like Pre-Raphaelite art, Birmingham Art Gallery has the greatest collection in the world - that’s not me falsely bigging it up as a Brummie, it’s a proper fact. Birmingham massively benefited from the industrial revolution and also the enterprising quakers - and when folks kicked the bucket, gorgeous entire art collections were left to the people hence we have the most important Pre-Raphaelit collection in the world 😊

Speaking of Quakers, get yourself along to Bournville, not so much for the chocolate factory (although obviously do if that’s your thing), it’s a gorgeous little village right in the heart of Birmingham and you can see the beautiful houses the Quaker’s built for the factory workers - believing everyone had a right to decent housing (this is when many factory workers would have lived in slums...)

Speaking of slums, right in the centre, near the hippodrome theatre, you can visit a National Trust managed set of ‘back to back’ houses...

I’m going all over the place - I need to organise my thoughts - I’ll be back...

4. I have not seen it since my son wore it to the caber toss at the Highland Games.

Wow, thanks for this! This is just the kind of information I need to direct my travels. Getting more excited about going now! I am a Tolkein fan in fact, and I'm into art and history so I'm sure I'll be able to fill up my days.

I’ll try and find time to write something up properly- probably when stuck in a hotel one night, xx
