It's kind of a tradition around here to make a check in thread when some kind of disaster strikes.

To me a few feet of snow meets that standard.

So how are you?

I was born and raised on the East Coast, so I qualify...

...even though I'm going trail running today. In 68-degree weather.

(I'm still here. Thanks for asking.)

A few "inches" of snow is not a disaster. I doubt the US east coast will get over 12" of snow. A few feet of snow is not a disaster either. It's called Winter.

Now freezing rain can be a bit of a disaster if it brings down large amounts of power lines. Even then not much of a disaster. A small tornado can kill more, do more damage and wreck infrastructure.

2" of snow down south is called a disaster. Two feet of snow in southern Canada is an inconvenience. 2 feet of snow in Labrador is a winter drought.

Put your dick back in your pants.

Mel Lastman called in the Army to shovel snow in Pussytown Toronto.

A few feet is nothing, but it's still irritating to have to slog through, especially when Mr. North Wind is making shit 5X more mizzuble.

It'll be over by tomorrow morning, though.

If you're going to have a storm, Saturday is the best day, that way you're in no hurry to dig out for work the next day.

RI is supposed to make out pretty well, 6" so far less than the rest of the east coast.

The Panthers may be playing in the snow tomorrow, meanwhile Denver is 45 and mild...nothing weird with the weather here...
.

N. E. Mass here and we dodged that bullet. After last year I don't care if my snow blower ever leaves my shed.

The tail end of this system will bring +6C and rain to SW Ontario. FUCK! Rain in January!

Some snow last night in N.Wildwood last night, but this morning, high tide was higher than during Sandy. Half the island was under water.
