Hello and Goodbye

I think Nurse Ratchet needs to increase this patient's medication. ;)

It reminds me of Groucho as Captain Spaulding in 'Animal Crackers'..."Hello, I must be going..."

well if Iwasn't going to leave I sure as hell will now. Thanks a lot.

perhaps a sense of humor would be in order?

We're just having fun, and you said you were already gone, so...

eta: when you say "no replies" and then try to actually enforce it, you're just setting yourself up. I mean, really... :D

Oh gee, I feel SO damn bad now! Golly gosh you are really going to leave now? So when you said you were going to leave before you were just joking with me?

Your right. I should have known you were planning to stay from all of the ............'s. My mistake. Sorry!

Why do people always assume Adults = maturity btw?

Also, don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

To me its more that they assume adult=humorless/stodgy, which is about as far out in left field as you can get with this group. ;)

Good, thanks. (other than my never ending fights with our lovely legal system  Court later today - drivers license hassles this time)

You?

Not bad - finally finished arguing with the Social Security office so i get a break for a bit hehe.

Dare I ask what happened with your DL?

It's a long story, but I'll try to explain it:

I'm bad about paying tickets, 'cause I just don't wanna, you know? Anyway, I drove without a license for several years because of a speeding ticket I didn't pay. Last year, I finally sucked it up and paid it, and got my license back.

I went to renew it a few days ago, and they said there was an unpaid ticket in North Carolina from eight years ago - which is bullshit, because I've never even had a ticket in N.C.

Called North Carolina, and they said I had a ticket for driving on a revoked license, which can't possibly be right, because my license has NEVER been revoked. Suspended, yes, but never revoked. So, had to get an attorney in N.C. to straighten that mess out, but in the meantime, I couldn't get my license renewed, so once again, driving without one. (No choice in the matter...no public transportation, and a son that has to go to school)

Inevitably, I got pulled over. *sigh* I really must learn to stay off that gas pedal, or get a slower car. ;)

I can probably just get the case continued until my N.C. problems are resolved, and then they'll drop the ticket, and I'll just have to pay court costs (still a bitch), but I have to go sit in court all fucking day just to do that.

Ugh, something like that happened to mum a few years back - she got a notice of unpaid speeding fine for Newark. She's never been there, and produced the CCTV footage of her car parked in the lab's car park at the time in question.

They tried to say she'd faked it until she pointed out that
a) she worked in a govt. institution and had to swipe in and out every day, so there was no way SHE was driving even if the car was there
b) The car details taken for the ticket were the complete opposite of her car
and c) the lab is opposite the worst estate in Leeds - EVERYONE who parks in that car park had had their plates cloned.

It just boggles me when you can explain something so simply why it takes FOREVER to clear it up :(
