Such pessimism! Not "when," Rhino, "if" it's rejected -- and there will be a little "rejected" on the submissions page (where it now says "pending") on which you click to see the reason.

Things (except poetry) are taking a while these days. It will post soon, I'm sure.

that illustrated stories take LONGER to be approved and posted than just text.

Illustrated poems do, so I assume the same goes for illustrated stories. Especially during contest time.
