He's making Christianity the enemy of American troops. Awesome! :ROFLMAO:

How Pete Hegseth’s zeal to bring religiosity to the Pentagon is dividing the military

Former Fox and Friends host’s ultra-conservative Christian nationalism causing ‘frustration’ within ranks, say experts

While secretary of defense Pete Hegseth’s links to an extremist church and crusader tattoos caused a stir during his confirmation hearings, the former Fox & Friends host is now openly bringing his ultra-conservative brand of christianity to the Pentagon.

Veterans tell the Guardian that Hegseth’s religiosity – rubbing off in new recruitment ads and official US Department of Defense social media activities – is dividing the ranks and doing untold damage to the future of the US military.

Kristofer Goldsmith, an Iraq war veteran and the CEO of non-profit watchdog Task Force Butler, which investigates extremism in the ranks, agreed with Pruitt and said he’s already felt the divisions Hegseth’s beliefs have inspired among members of the military.

“Every time Hegseth does one of these things, I’m getting messages from active duty troops, reaching out to me more and more, saying ‘How do I get involved?’,” said Goldsmith, referring to the work his organization has done to out neo-Nazis and far-right links in the military community. “We’ve got active-duty troops who recognize that the military they’re serving in, has become a threat to democracy.

Plus, his naked and open racism is actively discouraging any people of color to enlist- I certainly would NOT want to serve in the military under him if I was black, female, hispanic, etc.

AI Overview

Military recruitment is off to a strong start in 2025, with several branches meeting or exceeding their goals. The Army met its FY25 goal four months early. The Navy also met its active-duty recruiting goal, and the Air Force is expected to do the same. This positive trend is attributed to a combination of factors, including increased marketing efforts, initiatives like the Future Soldier Preparatory Course, and a renewed interest in military service among young people.

Here's a more detailed look:
  • Army:
The Army met its FY25 recruiting goal of 61,000 soldiers four months ahead of schedule.

  • Navy:
The Navy met its FY25 active-duty recruiting goal and also saw a significant increase in its delayed entry program pool, according to USNI News.

  • Air Force:
The Air Force and Space Force have also exceeded their annual recruiting goals.

  • Factors contributing to the success:
    • Future Soldier Preparatory Course: The Army's program, which helps potential recruits meet academic and physical fitness standards, played a significant role.

    • Increased Marketing and Advertising: The military has boosted spending on advertising and marketing to attract potential recruits, according to The American Homefront Project.

    • Increased Pay and Bonuses: Congress approved pay raises for military personnel, making service more attractive, according to RAND.

    • Focus on Retention and SkillBridge: The military is also focusing on retaining current service members and providing opportunities for them to gain civilian certifications through programs like SkillBridge.

    • Recruitment Task Force: A newly established task force is working to capitalize on the current momentum and develop strategies for maintaining recruitment success in the future, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
  • A Shift in Demographics:
While the overall numbers are up, there's also been a notable increase in female enlistment in the Army, says The American Homefront Project.

How is it that Keggybreath doesn't like people who sign up and serve, but does like a draft dodger?

And Deplorables think this is to be applauded?

Yet somehow recruiting numbers are way up and overall things are way better

And that's The Guardian too. I suspect what's being reported are the views of a few people who should never have been admitted into the military to start with.

Praise the Lord, Hegseth is a breathe of fresh air.

If you want an all-white, segregated military, and no women or gays either than yes, he is a breath of fresh air. With his Klan-symbol-tattoed chest and all-Aryan good looks, his ability to recruit White Christian soldiers for his army of future SS Sturmkommandos is off the charts. You may be right; I am sure that those with like minded views will be flocking to join such a military. (Not guys like 1980x2024 or the Hisarpy/Rebel5soul/Wallstreet guy obviously, those two are too obese and/or cowardly.)

Problem is, America neither wants nor needs an all-white segregated military, nor are people of color willing to join one. Hegseth is not wrong to want a tough, combat ready military but is IS wrong to want an all-white, all male one.
