A heavily armed California man was arrested in Iowa after he told law enforcement officers that he would "do whatever it takes" to kill government leaders on his "hit list," including President Joe Biden and his chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, authorities said in court papers Wednesday.

The man, Kuachua Brillion Xiong, 25, has been held in the Pottawattamie County Jail in Council Bluffs since Thursday, according to sheriff's records.

Xiong was pulled over Dec. 21 in Cass County and found to have an AR-15 rifle, ammunition, loaded magazines, body armor and medical kits, Secret Service Agent Justin Larson wrote in a criminal complaint.

Xiong had been driving from his home near Sacramento, California, since Dec. 18 "with the intention of driving straight to the White House ... to kill persons in power," Larson wrote.

Speaking with investigators, Xiong said the "evil individuals he intended to kill" included Biden, Fauci, former President Barrack Obama and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, authorities said.
he insisted that if he was released, he would continue with his plan and 'fight demons in the whitehouse'.

so, either totally messed up mentally unwell with access to weaponry and ammunition, or going for the 'insanity' plea

too many of the former, though, are whipped up by the manipulative loudspeakers...wound up like suicide dolls and aimed at America's seats of power.

I wonder what he actually would have done if he had gotten to Washington with all that hardware.

It's a pea shooter with a few mags.... "all that hardware" LOL

An AR-15 is a bit more than a pea shooter. Do you have anything bigger in your arsenal?

Just asking, I'm not in the pay of the ATF or anything, nu-uh! :)

perfectly capable of killing multiple victims in a short space of time

a quote from some outdoorsy publication: 'perfect for predators and varmints'
so if it can take down a predator..****nx/wolf/bear...then it can take down a person

Enjoying watching the board Trumpettes' reaction to this report. Hope the FBI is monitoring their reaction too.

Nope.....223/5.56mm....it's a pea shooter.

Small round best suited for coyote size pests and smaller.

Of course, most guns are bigger firepower wise.

LOL whatever, the ATF gave me the licenses for all the good shit. :D

Hopefully (R)'s abolish them soon though.

You can't deny it's something worthy of both serious coverage and public attention.

Nope. It's click bait sensational journalism. "Look at him! Isn't it awful! I hate when these guys plead insanity!"

The real story here is the lack of universal health care (which includes mental health) and the lack of common sense gun control. You won't get that angle from mainstream corporate media. They'll show his mugshot to let you see how crazy he looks then quote his attorney's excuse for his abhorrent behaviour and smugly tsk tsk the whole situation as people with low moral character behaving badly.

It's a distraction from the core problems the nation is facing which is millions of people without health care and millions of people with unrestricted access to deadly weapons.

This is pretty much "Run away bride" and "Bad moms" type click bait journalism masquerading as news that actually informs it's audience. These stories are broadcast for their entertainment value. The causes and solutions will never be presented or explored.

Causes and solutions are usually beyond the scope of journalism, even the best journalism.

The elements of journalism

Journalism should also attempt to fairly represent varied viewpoints and interests in society and to place them in context rather than highlight only the conflicting fringes of debate. Accuracy and truthfulness also require that the public discussion not neglect points of common ground or instances where problems are not just identified but also solved.
