It's 95 degrees (F) I'm in the "cool" part of town!

I hate this! Happens ever October, right at the beginning. The September weather is all, "Oh, Autumn is coming and all it going to be cool and breezy...." then, just as I'm about to put away the summer short and drag out the winter sweaters...October 1 arrives and: Gotcha! "Hahaha! Here's that summer blast you missed out on!"

It's a very still, dry heat, too. Enough like an oven that I could bake cookies. The cat's sprawled out and looking at me as if to say, "Can't move...go on without me...."

Here's hoping we get past this and back into autumn weather soon....

*Snerk* It's only 91F in San Diego. Nice little breezy so it's just perfect for laying out by the pool (where I'm am at this moment). Just to see how we compared, its 51F in London, 57F in Toronto, 60F in Chicago and a balmy 69F in NYC, but it looks like they are getting some rain. :(

Well, I suppose I should go get my Spf 50. I sure don't want to burn!

(and yes, I am a rude, hearless bitch that is rubbing it in! Muahahahaha! *Sticks tongue out and "Raspberries"!*) :D

I don't know how hot it is outside, plenty, I can say that. However, we've had central air for several years now and I'm staying inside. Getting plenty done by phone and internet before I have to go to the bank for a quick stop and then back into the AC for the evening. The thing I like about October heat is that it doesn't last the way the September blast furnaces do. We got off light this year. Haven't even burned down a single whole county, yet!

C'mon, rainy season!

I have trees changing color in the yard. It is getting close to freezing at night and the days are cool enough that you need a coat. Wouldn't change locations for anything. :)

Not quite yet. But it should start any time now.

This makes me not want to go DVD shopping so much today. But I really want my own copy of Iron Man, even though I won't get to watch it until tomorrow. I also wanted to check out a vendor in a mall I hardly go to that supposedly has a great kung fu collection on DVD. I really wanted to check that out.

Friday is looking better, but I don't want to wait that long :(

A nice sunny 85 here with a light breeze. humidity is the only problem at about 85%

Nice and cool for this part of the country, this time of the year. It must be a payback for the friggin hurricanes.

ETA: some folks down here around Houston, still don't have power back.

Well it was in the low 80°'s down here. A lot like heaven for me.

Let's see - we got a frost the night before last. Today it's already 78F (it's only 9.30am), the wind is approaching gale force at times, the dust is airborne. It's supposed to stay like this till the weekend when we might get a thunderstorm.

Must be Spring.

Oh, and to celebrate this heatwave, Starbucks just got in their "signature hot chocolate"

Yeah. Real hot chocolate weather, guys.

Luckily, they have it iced. Not bad actually. Very dark chocolate, hardly sweet at all. I approve.

I may have to go get some. On Saturday when it's supposed to rain.

It's 75F and dark here in Florida...it was sunny and warm today...highs in the low 80's.

Went for a swim in the pool...and lay in the sun.

S'posed to rain tomorrow, off and on. We need it.

The leaves aren't changing, but my various palms have finished blooming which means fall is on the way. :D

In Yorkshire, the last couple of days have been cold, rainy and windy - I'm wearing a 'fleece' waistcoat under my cardigan. The dogs are SO pissed off that I haven't taken them for a run in the park because it's too inclement...

A heatwave? I should be so lucky!

So right after that post it started raining...

I went to the Target down the highway from my office (two U-turns  ) for Iron Man, and watched it tonight against my better judgment ;)

It's now 3.30pm and 92F. Still blowing, still dust everywhere.

But in East County, where we didn't have the ocean breeze, it reached 102. a bit warm.

It's a balmy 45 degrees (F) here in Chicago. For the past four days it hasn't gotten over 65 degrees (F).

Right now my tootsies are cold.
