It's been ages for me, too -- so much so that I'd have to relearn it. I had that itch after reading Hearts in Atlantis.

A feature of Chrisgiving at our first house used to be an all-night Spades game, but that was in the old days. Two of my oldest friends no longer come around, and we lost the habit.
At the camp, we'd do a lot of spades, and also dominoes in a version called muggins. The exposed, playable ends were added up, and you'd scored if they totaled to an even multiple of five.
Hearts I last played courting my wife in 1971 or so. Her family played it.

The family game with my father and, when living, my grandfather was always pinochle. It wasn't a real game unless people were arguing about who didn't know how to cheat right. *sigh* Happy days, those.
