My husband and I like to mess with each others' minds.
A couple of nights ago, I got out a photo album of pictures we took at Virginia Beach a year before we got married.
When the pictures were taken, we were visiting my family for a week. At the time, all of my brothers and sisters were still living with my parents. VB was a regular vacation spot for my family and Bill had never been to an ocean beach before.
The album includes a number of pictures that Bill "just happened to take" of my sisters and me in rather flattering swimsuits. There's nothing indecent about any of them, but our suits were all two-piece and quite small relative to our bodies.
Of the four of us, I was the only one who wasn't jail-bait.
I put on a similar kind of swimsuit (in my current size of course) and brought the album to bed with me. Opening it to the relevant pages, I said, "That trip was thirteen years ago."
After pointing out a couple of particular shots that have always driven him nuts, I mentioned, "They're all grown-up now. We should get together and do another beach outing... now that they aren't jail-bait anymore."
The cliche "throwing gasoline on a fire" just doesn't cover it.
