Wouldn't think this is a very common practice seeing as people rarely (if ever) bring it up, and it's rather obscure to find even on the kink sites.
I'm of course talking about dunking heads into... buckets? tubs? Any container of water? For brief periods. It's really an ancient torture technique, but you don't see it applied much to today in any context. It blew my mind to learn this was actually once a legal form of punishment specifically for women in England back in the day. Well, they'd strap her to a chair and plunge her into the water on some sort of device. It was a public event, probably served popcorn and refreshments. I was born hundreds of years too late evidently.
Back to the head dunking, it's an idea that very much intrigues me, but I'm approaching with extreme caution. I've no idea how dangerous this can potentially be? How easily could you drown someone simply by dunking their head underwater? It seems like common sense and moderation would make this a relatively safe practice. Then again, people can drown after they go swimming. It's confusing.
So if there's something I need to know, please share/enlighten.
