She finally made an appearance
OK so the new she finally made an appearance. Most of the people said she looks great and make a better looking woman than man. I had seen "him" as a male for all of 30 seconds so I cannot really say.
She seems confident and happy although her voice is somewhat deep. Her shoulders are huge. She wore jeans on the first day with a french manicure. On the second day she wore a skirt and a few people just freaked out, including me. Very white legs. She has all the correct female mannerisms (even more than me).
Now apparently she was leading a double life. She had had the surgery two years ago and was a female in private but a male to the public.
I was not sure what to tell so I said Congratulations and I could not find a Hallmark card for the occasion. She had a good laugh and seemed to have a good sense of humour about it.
I guess it is us at work who are most uncomfortable about it. It will get getting used to but we will manage. Of course some jokes do come out (in private, I have so many but am biting my tongue) but that is one way to handle a very stressful situation.
Next week we have customers coming in who have seen her as a male, should be interesting. And she will be on the road in training soon. I would love to see some of the faces of the customers who knew her as a male.
