Yeah, it's kind of that basic. In the story, his wife or gf tells him credible story about a guy (a coworker I think) who assaulted her at a party. He's supposed to believe she did NOT cheat. Suspicious, he ends up in his own bedroom closet and watches her enthusiastically have sex with the "rapist", and they discuss what a chump he is for having believed her fiction.
