HBO has been airing a documentary: Outrage.

I missed the first half of it, but it is a good documentary. I learned things I didn't know. For instance, while I knew that Florida is rather homophobic. However, I had no idea that the govenor may be gay and that he played an important role on the success of anti-gay legislation.

It also shocked me to hear that at elast one of the Fox News newsman is gay. It really shocked me that he let "Blow Job" slip in a story -- they aired that blooper!

I really don't like the whole forced outing stuff. However, if someone deliberately uses their power to oppress their own and get by with it because no one knows that they are a member of that group. Then I don't see the issue.

Politicians are a special variety of slime really. They get into office by spouting the broadest of things, usually how they will fix schools or roads or well something that is currently on most of the voters minds. After they are in office, they don't really do anything except garner money by agreeing to vote for or against something.

The problem is, once they are in office they will do anything to stay there, so adding in more anti gay laws would make sense because in their twisted little brains they can fix it after the election or the courts will overturn it anyway.
