There has been a lot of talk about Hate Crimes, Terrorism and "Suspicious" activities.
No one has mentioned "Hay Crimes."
Weed isn't exactly hay... Oops yes it is!
While the pictures on the news showed a normal looking black pickup with two bails of hay in the back, these to immigrants must have been doing something extremely suspicious.
"It looked like marijuana. It was packed like marijuana. But the 220 pounds of weed found in the back of a pickup truck actually was hay headed for use in a nativity scene, officials said Thursday."
After spending more that a month in jail, the charges against the two men suspected of transporting $700,000 of cannabis have been dropped. Ah but the good news is it appears they were here illegally so will probably be deported. This will free up two coveted positions in a local lawn care business.
I for one will sleep better knowing that Cook County's finest are so vigilant and attentive to such suspicious activates. However, it makes me wonder if the church was able to smuggle in some hay from another source for their nativity scene or if the baby Jesus had to lay out in the cold in an empty manger. Well the nations safety comes before our personal comfort even for Jesus.
