Not an April Fools joke-

The pipeline that ruptured dates back to the 1940s, according to ExxonMobil, and is part of the Pegasus pipeline
that carries crude oil from the Midwest to refineries in the Gulf of Mexico.

Exxon spokesman Charlie Engelmann said the oil is conventionally produced Canadian heavy crude.

Tar sands, are good for....

Give the childish "Faux news" BS a rest. 95% of the media has an openly liberal bias, and one cable network is somewhat centrist on a few issues and you feel the need to constantly call them names?

95% of the media isn't enough for you?

When you call Fox News "centrist", that speaks terabytes.

MAYFLOWER, AR – April 1, 2013

The EPA categorizes the incident as a ‘major spill.’ This category reflects a quantity greater than 250 barrels.
A few thousand barrels of oil were observed in the area; a response for 10,000 barrels has been undertaken to
ensure adequate resources are in place.

Be nice to Exxon. Say "release." not spill.

(Exxon, sign of the double cross, after all these years....)

You mean a non-Christian Coalition fundamentalist bias? With a side of god and and extra helping of the trinity and a double order of stealing money from old people and the sick and the poor?

Reading a daily o&g daily report is most helpful. Just sayin. I read the WSJ's.

Do eagles care who is reporting about the oil spill ? Ducks ? Otters? Beavers? Hawks? Frogs ? Fish ?

Federal authorities called in The Hawk Center to help clean the birds that have been found covered in oil.
The Hawk Center is a volunteer organization in Arkansas, completely funded by donations.

They have several patients and expect more to continue coming in. All have been ducks but volunteers said
they expect to see animals like otters and beavers. Some are covered so thickly in oil that volunteers can't
even tell what kind of duck they are until they've finished cleaning the bird. Everyone inside the clinic has to
wear protective eyewear, glove and scrubs because of the hazardous chemicals.

Did Exxon stop the oil from leaking into Lake Conway?

We're approximately a mile from Lake Conway or at least from the cove," said Judge Allen Dodson.

Enbridge’s Lakehead pipeline spilled over 840,000 gallons of raw tar sands crude into the Kalamazoo River watershed.

The EPA ranks it as the largest spill in Midwestern history.

The river was closed from Perrin Dam in Calhoun County to the Morrow Lake Dam in Kalamazoo County in July 2010, after
an Enbridge pipeline ruptured discharging oil into Talmadge Creek and the Kalamazoo River. Enbridge has estimated that
it discharged 843,444 gallons of oil during this pipeline spill.

The cause of the pipeline rupture is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board.

Increasingly, pipelines transporting tar sands crude oil into the United States are carrying diluted bitumen or "DilBit" --
a highly corrosive, acidic, and potentially unstable blend of thick raw bitumen and volatile natural gas liquid condensate.

Raw tar sands oil, or bitumen, is so thick that it has to be mixed with a thinning compound, or diluent --
highly volatile derivative of natural gas that includes large amounts of benzene and other toxic chemicals
-- in order to make it liquid enough to pump through pipelines.

Heh-heh . . . heh-heh-heh . . . ha-ha-HAW-HAW-HAAAWWW!!! Good one! :D

Who do you think owns and runs the "liberal media," dumbass? It's not reporters in shirtsleeves or editors in eyeshades. It's MBAs in suits, who also sit on the boards of other megacorps in interlocking directorates, and liberals they ain't. (Neoliberals, maybe, which is such a different thing as to be an opposite thing.)
