Thanks Rog. Yeah, us Yanks are out to tip a few cold ones, eat a lot of food and explode a few fireworks. Any excuse for a party, I say. :D

Oh, and Happy Canada Day to our neighbors to the north.

Because, of course, Las Vegas was one of the original thirteen colonies. Who can forget the disatrous summer at Valley Flamingo when Washington's soldiers had to eat from the buffet table when the ala carte waiters were defeated at the Battle of Reno? God Bless America. Oh yes the fourth such fond memories...... The time I stepped on a lit sparkler and did the demented dance for two minutes before I took a breath. I am not much for the fourth except for reading on the patio and sipping some long island ice tea. Then after a long afternoon listening to ma and pa burn chicken I plan on offering myself up for hedonistic sexual pleasure... now where did I put that little monkey god...

My neighborhood will be holding the yearly block party, which I guess is not bad as far as yuppie parties go!
 
I shall be in attendance for my neighborhood picnic where all the men get drunk and the women end up catfighting over whose hubby is the biggest lush.

Thank God I am hubby-less. I generally spend my time seeing if I can outdrink any of the men and beating them at darts and pool. (drunk people suck...if I'm lucky) *gigglesnort*
 
Seein' as how we've made such a big hoohah out of Canada Day, I figured it'd be only fair for me to stick my head in here and wish all you Yanks a happy 4th...enjoy, guys...

hey Golden ... Independence Day is one of my fave songs by Springsteen .. he wrote it bout his father when Bruce left home for the first time ..

I didn't know Van Morrison also does it .. I wonder if it is the same song ..

I too would like to wish all of you americans a happy 4th of July.

Actually we too celebrate the 4th of July here in my part of Denmark. It's a bit of a long story why we do it, and I don't want to bore you all with it!

Hello All! Well here we are again,another fine 4th of July weekend.Myself I'm heading up north to the Mackinaw Bridge for a couple of days,then going to the Rifle River for a 2 day rafting trip.The best thing is I'm off work until the end of August "Yeppie".Also my birthday is July 5th,so I plan on partying my ass off.So to all,"HAVE A SAFE & HAPPY 4th OF JULY HOLLIDAY!" Also I'd like to wish all my freinds to the north a "HAPPY CANADA DAY!"Maybe I'll see some of you at the MIGHTY MACKINAW BRIDGE! LATER!!!!
 
Fourth of July!

A time to relax by the pool, BBQ some great food, consume some suds, have things go bang in the night and watch some fireworks (Heh, Heh) ;)
