What always sends a shiver down my spine is that the translation for Chernobyl is Wormwood. It has Biblical connotations in the book of revelations in which it will be placed in the water and a third of all people will die.

I remember the shock of when this happened. Staring at the television in complete disbelief that it was possible.
Over the yrs our local hospital has treated kids from the fallout. Seeing them in the local papers has been heartbreaking.

I had not realised the translation Brioche, I am often amazed how things appear to jigsaw together after the event. Not just Biblical things but life in general.
