Have you heard about voter fraud lately?

So the hated leftist vice president and chairmember of Congress just certified the election of the felon and his monkey money friend for four years. No one whipped out a pistol, killed a stormtrooper to prevent that, or otherwise did more than to rise and politely shake hands amidst the applause.

Go figure. Democrats are acting civil amongst MAGA extremest on this Lit political thread, contrary to hate-filled rhetoric by some here. The television screen shows polite decorum by those in attendance. So why isn't that flowing into the Lit forums as well?

I’m disappointed that Democrats didn’t even make an objection to the count. At least use the proceedings to remind voters what happened 4 years ago.

Republicans see civility as a sign of weakness.

Congressional sessions should not be a bully pulpit for political rants. By all accounts, the states confirmed it was a fair election, and as such the profuctionarly role of the session was to acknowledge that as a right of passage, passing the baton from one leader to another in a peaceful manner. The anomaly was Trump's failure to carry the last election. That will be his mark and legacy throughout history.

I’m sure Republicans are snickering at the weakness of Democrats.

If there is a next time and Republicans lose, you can be sure there won’t be a peaceful transfer of power.
