If you've submitted a story, have you gotten feedback on it?

Has it been helpful or amusing or what?

What do you do with it? Do you reply or let it just be?

Curious.

I've received feedback from my stories/poetry before. Most of it is praise for writing something different (not to toot my own horn). My style of writing is sort of abstract, but not so abstract that you don't get it...hard to describe. Maybe I'll post my writing here one day.

Feel free to toot your own horn I don't mind! I appreciate the comments.

I'm always shocked when I get feedback, because I forget that I have writings up here.

I've gotten a few, all positive, and I always respond with a heart-felt thank you. If somebody takes the time to not only read what I've written, but also compliment me on it, I sure as heck will be writing back with a thank you. :)

Yes, I've gotten probably 20 or 30 emails with feedback on my stories (5 of them). All have been positive. No nasty-grams yet... but then, none of my stories were ever highly rated... so I don't think I've been that widely read. And I'm no danger to the people seeking to have their stories highly ranked. I don't write much anymore, so I don't really care too much. I am happy that some have liked my stories though. And someday, I might actually get around to finishing some of them. :)

I always reply if they leave an email addy for me to reply to. Otherwise I just save them into an email folder. Someday I might go back and re-read them... never know. :)

My feedback is usually about someone trying to hook up with me.

Yup. Been there...got some raunchy ones at that.

I got one today that was actually helpful though. Somethings were pointed out in one of my stories that I could have done a bit differently. I liked that.

The feedback tends to be from men who want to meet me

Men will do and say anything if they think it's foreplay

I always send at least a polite reply. I appreciate any feedback. So many lurk and loom without a sound.

All me feed-back's been positive, what there has been. But that's OK - I like quality not quantity.

I have received one negative feedback complaining of my spelling & grammer.

Funny....I found a couple spelling mistakes in her feedback, along with several grammatical mistakes.

Most have been positive though.

I've only gotten positive feedback - but usually it's along with a pick up! If they give an email addy - and they aren't just trying to come on to me then I reply with a thank you.

If it's someone I recognize from the boards - I reply with a PM!

I have recieved feedback on my stories. Most of it is positive, some of it's a bit strange. But if there is a return email addy, I try to always respond with a thank you.

That is a good point about responding to those kind enough to read your stories. Thank you's are always good.

I was talking to a friend the other day, amazed at having had over 11,000 views on one of my stories...but only 50 votes. I don't care about the votes it just made me chuckle.

I haven't gotten any mean feedback...just some that could be a story in themselves.

I'm right there with the finishing too. I have a ton I started and had another one come up that I just had to write and that got put on the backburner and so on and so on.

I reply to all (what few I get) feedbacks from stories that I submit to Lit. Good, bad or ugly. Unless they come to me as an anon feedback.

Of course good feedback is nice, but I'll occasionally get someone saying, I can't wait for the next part to come out, this after I've said at the end, that there WILL NOT be any more parts to that story.

I had one feedback tell me Ihad to be a woman by the way I wrote the story knowing everything about a womans body. I wrote back that I wasn't a woman, and they tried to argue with me. Go figure.

I like to respond to everyone but sometimes it is difficult to get through to them! :D

I have gotten a fair amount of feedback.

A lot of the e mails said my stories made them "hard" or some other variation on the theme ;)

Several e mails enjoyed my focus on the older man and led to a back and forth, which is nice.

One reader did remind me that spellcheck sucks when it comes to synonyms! :)

And I do try to respond to all of the feedback, regardless of how thick or thin it might be.

:)

I always answer every email that I receive as feedback.. and I've been rather lucky that they've never been mean. Some suggestions have come in handy.. and gave me new ideas for other stories.

Well except for one chick who said that I set a bad example because of smoking.. I couldn't figure out when I'd ever had a character light up. I couldn't email her back to ask what she meant, because it was anom. .. finally I figured out she had looked at my profile and was talking about me personally. Odd.

I've become friends with one person who started emailing me.. which is nice. :)

I do get a lot of men who will say they enjoy my story and use that as a way to lead into sexual talk. I guess some are just looking for a potential cyber partner. *shrug*

I can say, and i know others will agree, that incest will get you at least 10 times as many views & feedback as say an erotic coupling story will.

One of my last stories got more views in the first day, than my erotic coupling story has ever gotten. And I think the erotics coupling story was for the most part, my best story that I've written.

Interesting comments.

So many lurk all around the joint...creepin and a'peepin...

I like the feedback too...lets me know someone is reading my stories.

I do get feeback and if the writer has included his/her address I respond.
