I'm currently about halfway done with The Guns of Avalon and so far I think this is one of the best series I've ever read. I loved Zelazny's Bring Me The Head of Prince Charming (a collaboration with I~don't~know~who), which was the first of his works I read.

If you have read these, what did you think?

With Robert Sheckley. I wasn't impressed with that one nearly as much as I thought I would be.

I read the Amber series years ago, and don't recall it as being anything special. I enjoyed the Last Defender Of Camelot, though.

I read anything and everything. I like SciFi/Fantasy books.

I also liked the Starchild Trilogy. I read it so long ago that I don't remember who wrote it, but I never got to finish Rogue Star.

thanks!

now i can go to the library and check it out again and finish it.

I'm not a sci-fi reader, but since you guys are, are Terry Goodkind and Robert Jordan too mainstream?

*shakes her head*

Terry Brooks is good. So is Piers Anthony. I like the Forgotten Realms books. R. A. Salvatore wrote a neat series and some others, too.

he. and yes, he is an excellent writer. he did the Shannara series and the Magic Kingdom of Landover books.

really? I met him at a convention some years back... he was pretty cool.

some fantasy convention... i go to so many i'm not sure which. not GenCon... i think '96.
