Who here is into that sort of thing? Have you found a relationship that has lasted through time or was it just a one nighter?

Since this is in the personal ad section, I will add I am not looking for that now, so please don't tempt me (even if you have a hot Australian accent ) I am looking for serious answers though. Don't make shit up; that is easy to come by here.

I have and the biggest regret was when I was offered the chance to meet someone that I had gotten close to and didn't meet her. ok as close as you can get online. I backed out and even though that was a while ago I regret it even now. She is someone that I think about and still smile. Wish I had followed thru with going to meet her. Not all meet ups are sexual. Not sure if I will do it again but ya never say never. Has to be a busy public place and a casual atmosphere and if it happens then it can go from there. Not much different than meeting someone from POF or any other site really.

I've met a couple.

One was an incredible one-off opportunity - probably the only time we'll be both in the same city, so we just booked a hotel and had a night enjoying each other.

The other was a couple of platonic meetings which were pleasant enough but didn't lead to anything sexual. I think we were both looking for something different and were grown up enough to admit it before anything daft happened.

I never came to Lit expecting to meet anyone in real life, so I regard both as a bonus. I'm probably not as active on here as I used to be either, so it's unlikely to happen again. That said, never say never!

That's how I've run my meet ups. In public and busy. If it goes somewhere else, it goes somewhere else.

Both are still here and I would not want to hurt any feelings about the first gentleman. He was sweet but it wasn't in the cards. He brought his wife who urged him to bring her on his "shopping" trip and I met up with them both. A bit awkward, but still a nice visit.

The second ended up being a fantastic friend for many years. We are still friends now and I shall not divulge the intimate details on this one. I love a man who can talk his way into my climax though.

I did have one time where I was in New Orleans a few weeks before another Litster I was spending time with. I liked him Timing wasn't right and I don't think either of us would have gone through with it anyway.

I do too. I'd much rather have the friendly meeting that keeps your friendship afterwards vs the sexual one, where one person disappears after that.

It isn't easy to take that step. I have met many people from online groups before (different subject boards) but only two on Lit. Honestly, Lit isn't that much different. There are a few (the Welcoming committee) who are eager to get you to sex-talk them, but I have really chatted with a number of great people on this board. When it is right, i am sure you will find someone that fits.
