When I was in a similar relationship (a long time ago)...I came upon the realization about a months fucking into the relationship that it wasn't going anywhere...I kicked back and enjoyed the ride...for all it was worth.

It hurt like hell...especially three months after we broke up and he called begging to get back together...while my new boyfriend sat next to me on the couch. I had to excuse myself and politely remind the poor man on the phone the state of our previous relationship and exactly WHY it ended...The temptation was great...he was the best fuck I have ever had...but I couldn't go through the pain again...I had nearly given my heart to him but he tossed it back at me before I'd even reached out to him.

Life goes on...there are some wonderful men out there...and the relationship could still be explosive...just in a good way.
