Have you ever met someone from Lit?

OK folks! time to let everyone know your opinion on meeting each other in R/L.

We want to hear stories both good and bad about any encounters!

As I started it, I'll tell my experience.

I have met one person from Lit, and It was a wonderrful experience. We got to know each other for a while through our posts on the various threads, and found out that we had a lot in common and were attracted to each other mentally. After swapping pics, there was some physical attraction as well. We met for a date, and it was wonderful! I look forward to seeing her again this summer!

As for meeting others, I am always open to meeting new friends. But, only one will have any fringe benefits at one time .

Most of the people I have met on lit live way too far away for me to meet them. There are a couple that I would hope someday to have the pleasure of meeting. And one in particular. But i'm trying not to let the thought of the distance involved get in the way of my dreams.

Have met two from here...one in town and one about a 2 1/2 hour drive from here--both cool people!

I have met several and enjoy the friendships that were started here on lit.

Plus there is a "special someone" that I have met and we are planning a R/L meeting the end of June I think. We are working around my class schedule and his work schedule so.

But to you, I say, if you get the chance to meet other lit people, go for it, you won't regret it.

Yes and I've enjoyed all of them!!

Practically all my meetings with Lit people have been interesting if not VERY fun!! *eg* Must say I haven't really had a bad meeting... just some better than others! *weg*

Have met quite a few people, and have enjoyed every encounter....except one. (shrugs) You can't win them all.

One is now a very, very good friend as well.

Hey TNR!

Yep! I have met 4 people...only 1 ended disasterously (as in he was dishonest about the person he was)...the other 3, great friendships from all of them, and the last one, well, we are currently together, and making plans for a long term future. So I would say it has gone well!

Met with someone I found thru Lit, but it was purely to have coffee and chat--we've become good friends, and it was great to have that 'real-life' contact in addition to our 'virtual' conversations.

We're having a Lit-together in Maryland on Friday--looking forward to that as well!
