Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who was it and where did you meet them?

Sorta. I met a NFL Hall of Fame player, retired, in a bar. he patiently signed maybe 60 autographs. We had a nice chat and he bought me a beer, so I returned the favor. We "shook" hands. I say it that way because his hand is as wide as mine is long, and I don't have small hands.

I met mike Vick at a bar once... I did my best to try and get him to punch me so I could make a couple of bucks. I referred to him as Ron Mexico, and called him a dog killer and shit like that. He didn't punch me like I wished... He did leave the bar shortly after thst though.

not really. i met a few minor indie musicians back in the day playing shows with my very shitty, entirely unmemorable band that no one ever heard of and a girl who was in the first commercial for the pontiac aztek because i briefly lived with her sister. that's really about it as far as i know.

I've met a number of celebrities. An academy award nominated actress came into my business last week. None of my employees recognized her.

I met a few local celebrities, but I worked and went to school in Williamsburg while they were filming "The New World." I met Colin Ferrell and Christopher Plummer. They and many other cast members ate at the restaurant I worked at and we'd see them around local pubs. I don't care how much of a manwhore Colin Ferrell is, I'd have his baby any day.

I'm double posting to say I've seen Michael Vick around too. He's from around here and we had the same vet. I remember waiting forever with one of my cats and some big man coming through with two pits that were "Vick's dogs" so they were able to get seen right away. It was annoying at the time and about a year before his dog fighting drama was unleashed.

Met Lee Enemy at a car show once. Cool old dude. Also met Mike Henry (voice actor for family guy) when he did a speech back when I was in college.

I've met a couple of people that are only interesting in certain circles.
I met Black Eyed Peas pre-Fergie after a gig they did. The long haired one told me if I found 9 more friends I could go up to the hotel room with them. I laughed.
I met the bassist of local band Alchemist (who have a huge European following) after one of their gigs. He approached me telling me how much I went off in the pit. That was pretty cool, though I much preferred the guitarist from little known band Jerk telling me the same thing not long before that. They played the same show.
My favourite celebrity meeting is when comedian Frank Woodley was signing autographs after a show and I went up and had a chat with him. We shook hands to start and he held my hand through the whole conversation. When I had to go he said "Do you really?" When I said yes he told me that was a shame.

Mostly regional superheroes. I've met professionals/experts in the top of my field. Kind of a neat feeling if one is into the networking thing to climb in one's field. I've met some band members of some rockstars that are very popular in the state I'm in. I'm probably married to their favorite groupie. Well, not really but she did go to a lot of their shows and drank tequila with them after shows.

I shook Obama's hand. I saw Ice T surrouded by lots of hot women at the Hard Rock Casino. Pre Ice Loves Coco days.

I met a pretty famous former Heisman winner from my Alma Mater. That was VERY cool.

A weird brush with Celebrity is that I went to a friend's wedding and sat right behind a guy that looked like Dick Van Patten and I turn to my friend and say, "That guy looks just like Dick Van Patten!". Turns out my friend's bride was related to him and it was the actual Dick Van Patten.

Nothing too exciting but it creates some fun memories to relate.
