Have you ever heard the voice of anyone else from this forum?

There was a thread quite a while ago on the General Board called "Does anyone else give voices to particular lit members?"

i was thinking about it lately because i've had the opportunity to actually speak to a couple of my fellow Litizens.

superlittlegirl and i talked on the phone a number of times as she was planning her trip, and non-stop for the day she was here. She's the first person i ever met online first, then in real life.

WillowPuss and i got in a conversation about accents recently, and she introduced me to the wonders of "voice-chat". It was delightful! (she does sound a lot like Princess Di)

Now i look back at that old thread and wonder about some of the voices i haven't heard, but have had described.

cym is supposed to sound "young" (like you'd ask if her mommy's home)

RisiaSkye was described as deeper and throaty. A "whisky voice".

i was curious as to whether any of you have talked to another forum member, and what it was like.

From this forum...

Risia and i talk very often, as in three or four times a week or more.

Though not exactly regulars in this forum, KillerMuffin and patient1 do post here on occasion. I speak often with each of them, often being once a week or more.

I've spoken with mg and Sandia and Harbinger.

More not-exactly-BDSM-forum regulars to whom i've spoken are Todd and lavender.

Who else?
Who else?
I know i'm forgetting someone important.

I like talking on the phone.
:rose:

I have spoken to many lit members-at-large on the phone and met a few.

In terms of this forum, Spectre T and I have met, as you well know :)

Hi T!

Gotta do it again, soon ! *blows kisses*

I've talked to two members of the forum here.

I really don't recall what cym sounded like when i talked to her, i was in a highly emotional state. She actually called me so i could explain a pm i had sent her for help.

Oh, wait, we've claimed Todd, so i've talked to 3 members here. Todd is sweet, funny, and pretty much how i thought he would be.
I think he enjoyed my begging a bit too much, though.

Cool!

That's a GOOD start!

i guess there are days when we can be glad that Lit doesn't have a "chat-mode", but i was kind of impressed with the one that Willow and i used.

It's the MSN messenger, but it let's you talk AND listen at the same time. You don't have to say, "Over" and let the other person talk. A little echoey, but really nice for FREE! :D

Having been a radio announcer for years, i LOVE using my voice.

Real life "face to face" conversations count too!

Oh dear

You will have the members of the British upper classes snorting in amusement! I am afraid one is much too common to pass oneself awf as a toff.

Seriously, I had to lose my London (true cockney) accent for self-preservation reasons. :( I have also been told I have a really young voice.

Hmmmmm ... how to describe Blue's voice.
Well, for a start it surprised the heck out of me ... he sounds far too British for an American! lol And it would all depend on which accent he decided to use as to how to truly describe it.
I would say it is definately a voice you could easily listen to for hours at a time ... a 'melty' type of voice.

I am with cym in that I like talking on the phone ... but alas, my international call days are over for the moment until I find work and pay off a few debts. :( Thats why I enjoy the voice chat facilities on yahoo and MSN.

I just like talking. Full stop!
Sooooooooo ... if anyone fancies a voice chat with a Brit .... just let me know!

(Edited cos I just cannot spell this morning. OK ... I cannot spell. *sigh*)

Cool badbabysitter! You have me wondering though. i am getting older and am somewhat out-of-touch as far as the latest street jargon. (but i've always been fascinated)

i've never heard "squeaker" used as an insult before. Cheez! i want to get all techie about this, but may i just ask -- Is it possible that you were squeaking?

Someday my curiosity will kill me, but i won't even mind. i'm curious about THAT more than most anything.

Nice to meet you, good luck with the acting thing,
Blue

P.S. Thanks Willow for your kind commentary on my voice AND the opportunity to make it possible for my voice to be heard in LONDON! i feel so cosmopolitan now. :D

Heh. Yes, we do. I'm kind of proud of my voice, and gave some thought to becoming a radio announcer myself. I just don't have a clue where to start.

MissT is the only person I've met face-to-face or spoken with in person. I like her voice, but I'm at a loss how to describe it.

Yes, but you have to describe the voice you heard.
Don’t forget to mention lavender's sexy but subtle Texan accent.
Haven't you spoken with me?
I remember lavender handing me the telephone on occation and there being someone from lit on the other line.

I can never get the voice option to work for me on MSN messenger, but use the Yahoo Voice Chat option occasionally. However, I've never "talked" to anyone at Lit.....with the exception of my best friend of 18years and her hubby of course. :D

In case anyone's curious, based on my ID......yes I have a southern accent but not the classic southern belle nuances.

I do remember the thread on the general board tho, I heard some of the clips that people made for it. Pretty cool stuff.

Also spoken to the lovely superlittlegirl, who has a voice that perfectly matches her typing: fast-paced, clear (she has such excellent diction!), excited (though I like to credit some of that to me, heh heh heh), quite soothing...an auditory massage. Every bit as intelligent when put on the spot as when she has time to ponder her words. Loved it.

I have only spoken to Hecate, obviously. Blushing.

Her voice? Please don't make me try. Much to sensual, deep, throaty, laughing, kind, gentle.

Gads, I told you not to make me.

I have heard Killer's, which totally surprised me, stunned me actually. Heard her audio poem.

Have heard Shyguy's also, he sends me clips now and again, to tease me. Ladies, you simply must listen, all teasing and such. The type that goes right through you. You can hear his smile when he speaks. You know what I mean, I hope.

As for other's?

I don't think of cymbidia's as young. More as a guiding voice, gentle and low. A tender one, but one that can hold a sharp edge when it needs too.

Agree about Risia, her voice must, simply must, have a whiskey tone to it.

As for others? I have the perfect voice for Spectre in my head. Maybe we better not meet, though I know it is you I hear when you type.

MissTaken? The kind loving voice of a friend. Even when in pain willing to calm and soothe others. You know the one. But with a Mommy tone she uses when you misbehave, or exasperate her.

I just thought of a way to describe miLady's voice. Melted dark chocolate.

JazzManJim!

He has the most incredibly deep and commanding voice.

If you have have a chance, jump on it!

Comforting as smooth silk, when necessary and quite firm and pleasant ;) when the situation warrants.

;)

Ohhh this has made me want to voice chat with more people!!!

I too have designated a voice for Spectre. Warm and amusing - almost as if you can hear the smile. (How did I do MissT?)

Ah yes! I knew there was someone else, someone important, that i was forgetting!

Never ever's voice is light, lilting, a voice filled with joy and expectation. One might expect a deeply wise and maybe slightly weird voice from the chickiepoo but it's not that at all. It's the voice of a girl to whom the world's mysteries are still presents under the tree for the most part, in excitingly colored wrappers.

lavender's voice is one of slight jadedness and possesses a smoky sultry quality that's laced through with the slight TX accent Never mentioned. It's the voice of a calmly assured young woman, one who is brave and willing to go anywhere and touch anything, if only for the experience.

Risia and lavender have many surface similarities in thier vocal speech patterns.

Killermuffin's voice offers sweet strength and calm, considered, intelligent friendship. One can relax into her voice, sure of honesty and compassion, no matter how hard it is to hear the words she's saying. Like Risia, my brain and heart hear Muff's voice as "truth teller, friend, keeper of my secrets".

patient1 is slow and deliberate, a deep and smooth, little shy at first but with strength and honest reality threading below the words. His voice allows one time to think and reflect, then draws those true feelings from one gently, almost caressingly.

morning girl possess a voice that's light and tender, honest and a hesitant. It's an achingly clear voice, one in which the emotions are all on the surface and open wide to be seen. I've only talked with her once, and it was during a very hard time for her, so i guess i need another convo, preferably one where neither of us is in crises, to determine its day-to-day reality.

Sandia has a low pitched though not-growly voice. It's a voice of polite confidence, even when dealing with uncomfortable subjects. He's got a twang. He considers his words and chooses them well, but there's an edge of emotion that runs through them, too. His is an interesting, honest voice.

Harbinger's voice is tender and caring, the voice of someone who has been-there, done-that, and knows we all have to go through our own stuff but knows, too, that comfort comes from all sides sometimes, and even a few words can make a big difference.

Todd has a friendly voice, a voice containing laughter and caring. His is one that a person could lean on while telling bad news and laugh with over a risque joke. His voice is lively and alert, a voice of action and going/doing.

Is this good enough, Never ever?
:rose:

I would really like to talk to you all, one at a time, including (especially) those i've known a long while but with whom i've not yet had the pleasure of speaking. Honestly. PM me or i'll PM you. Late nights or mid-day (Pacific time) are often best for me.

edited to add that i've talked with others, quite list of others, from other places at Lit. The above are only those who are ours.

Merelan you are a dear! It's wonderful to know that you like my voice! Now if only you would send me a clip of your voice as well! ;)

I haven't talked to many from here at all. Like Merelan I've talked to Hecate. And I've also had to pleasure of talking to Mae13 first on the phone a couple of times, and then when I visited her a few days last week.

I have a hard time describing voices I'll admit, so I can't describe them to you. But I like the voices of both ladies I'll admit to that.

Oh and Hecate do have some soundfiles both here and on her own site, so you can hear her voice if you would want to.

I also have a little sound greeting on my site, if anybody would like to hear it. Go here:

Perhaps I am a Domme in the making?

Aww thank you sweet merelan. I hope you think so, but I do think my phone voice is very young.....

And T's voice? His voice resonates. His articulation is near perfect and his demeanor warm. His voice feels like a comforter wrapped around me on a cold winter's night.

Jen of course.
KGBoot
Willfulbrat
Lasavane

and then some others from the other part of the board...
Dillinger
Maddy
Ambrosius
Fantasy Goddess

then a few from the other major board

i've talked to both Willfulbrat and Dustygrrl in real life, but not on the phone.

Dusty sounds kind and young - well, she is young.

i only spoke with Willfulbrat briefly, but i remember that in general she reminded me of her av (at the time anyway, i'm not sure if she has more than one).

lasavane

That's right, I've also spoken to Willfulbrat! I was after all her houseguest for 2 weeks in November! My memory is so bad from time to time!

Todd is sweet, funny, and pretty much how i thought he would be.

I think he enjoyed my begging a bit too much, though.

I am still failing to recall the begging, but you are a sub after all your supposed to beg ;)

Are you trying to make me blush here?

DRxBlue is that your Sub or Domme . . .

In your avatar?

Dang your one lucky dude.

Anyways, you said some interesting stuff up above in this thread about that I seem the type that would listen to what you would have to say care to elaborate?

Thanks for your insight.
