Have you ever deliberately lied online?

I've never done the whole different personalities/nicks thing. I'm way too confusing as I am.

The only lying I'll do is to get out of a boring convo. I'll say I have to go do dishes or some nonsense. I do this on the phone too.

It's just alot easier than saying "Wow, you're boring me to death! I've got to end this conversation before my brain implodes."

I'm not a lying person. Basically because I come online to be myself, and maybe be accepted. The confusion thing also keeps me on track too though.

I haven't lied. I may not tell everything about my personal life away from Lit, but I tell enough. And what I do tell is the truth.

As a personal thing, I don't lie. I'd rather not say anything than lie. I just don't like it. And the few times I tried it I always got caught. So why bother.

BUT

I do lie sometimes. Usually it is to the effect that I really have to go now, something came up, to get me away from a nut or a nuisance.

I will also lie to sites that I know are going to spam the hell out of me. I give them a bunch of made up crap.

I can usually tell when someone is lying. Teacher radar, just a little better than parent radar.

yes! in the early days! before i really took things seriously and was all scared about givign out personal info, and if my mom found out that i did i'd get grounded!

but that didn't last long.
