So can I. Unconditional love. He is now gone and I felt my sould being torn from me when he left. I have been healing and know I probably will never feel that love again, but at least I have known it once.
For this man I gave up all pride and begged - something I have never done in my life. Little good it did me in the end.

I am with you 200% my wife of 23 years just passed away with a brain tumor. We spent the last 3 months with her in a hospital bed at home and me in a couch pushed up next to her bed. I would have taken her place in a second and still would. She was my everything and left such a hole in my heart I sometimes wonder if I still have one. It's a wonderful thing when you are so close to someone you can't tell where they end and you begin someone you can trust with your whole heart and soul. I would go to the ends of the earth barefoot on hot coals and back to have her for just one more minute.

Yes, but for me those are usually infatuation relationships and not true and respectful loving relationships. When I feel that way I know I'm usually in an unhealthy situation. Which of course i ignore and continue anyway because I make terrible life choices!
