When/if there was to be a Reckoning (not necessarily spiritual or religious), could you honestly say that you were One of the Good Guys?

Is it Evil to be Republican/Tory/John Millius?

Is it Good to be For the People/Liberal/proletariat…?

I look at my life, my past, my future, and I wonder: Did I ever Do The Right Thing?

Will I do the Right Thing next year?

And the years ahead?

What is Good?

All good questions to ask on a regular basis. Only by recognizing our evils and what actions are truly evil can we hope to improve ourselves.

And you can take that to heart from the heart of evil himself.

I only know two things.

There's enough pain in the world without me adding to the sum total of it.

And.

I believe that the virtues a human being should possess and exercise are empathy, wisdom and courage.

Empathy because if you don't have feelings for the joys and sorrows of other people you can't accomplish anything good in this life.

Wisdom tells you how little you know and restrains you from doing wrong.

And courage is required because if you follow the path that empathy and wisdom set for you, you will be pissing a lot of people off.

As far as the drink goes, go on over to ABSTRUSIONS. You can get any plonk in the world there and the company's nice.

As far as John Millius goes, Conan The Barbarian blew chunks.

I liked Red Dawn. If it hadn't been an American movie about American partisans fighting the Russians in WWIII, it could easily have been a Russian movie about Russian partisans fighting the Germans in WWII.

I do believe I earned my wings...although they may be a bit dirty, but they are wings. I have done some really good things in the past few months and felt wonderful about doing it.

What was that movie? Angels with dirty faces? Well, I am no saint, but I think all in all I am a good person.
