The rise of hate crime has been linked to an administration that is soft on hate crime. People do shit because they know they can get away with it. We're not really more visible now than we've ever been, we're just making strides at a consistent pace.

I really think that we will get back on track, eventually. I like to think the world will be a better place as it goes along.

I cannot agree that somehow the community has brought this upon themselves simply by being open about who they are and who they wish to be seen as.

There are countries who have passed laws that punish people who don't use the correct LGBT words. The onus is on them.
