Have a drink... or two...

Hello everyone. I need some help. I've decided to take up once more that fine habit of drinking. To further that cause I've purchased several types of alcohol.

Now I can drink them straight but I've decided to try mixed drinks. Problem is I don't know of any to make.

I'm going to list what I've bought and see what the fine people on the Playground can come up with.

And so:

Jose Cuervo Gold Especial ...... yummy

Smirnoff Vodka ...... haven't tried this one yet

Kahlua ... had it in hot chocolate once

E & J Brandy .... not as good as San Marcos but still good

Evan Williams Kentucky Bourbon ... it's ok

Now, any suggestions? Drinks to mix or maybe a new type to try?

Hmmmm ....

I like Black Russians (kahlua and vodka) or add cream and it becomes a White Russian.

And i am definitely a vodka girl ... vodka is yummy with just about anything .. juices, lemonade, sweet flavored drink mixes.

Actually, kahlua can be combined with many things too.

There are tons of drink recipes sites online that allow you to enter what you have on hand and it provides possible recipes.

Pour a little citrus juice (lemon, lime, or orange) in a shot glass, then fill it up with vodka. Cover the top with your hand, slam the glass hard on the counter so the drink fizzzes, then drink it down. Yum!

Green Kool-Aid and Tequila.
I call it the Mommy Margarita, becuase it was created when my 4 year old spilled my margarita mix all over the floor.
Shockingly good.

Fora simple drink I liked bourbon and Coca Cola. Also good with dark rum. Vodka and oj is also good. I like a B52, that is Kahula, Bailey's Irish Cream and Grand Mariner. http://www.drinknation.com/drink/b-52.

Do you prefer sweet drinks, fruit drinks, strong drinks or straight shot types???
You have a few basic starters but what kind of drinks are you looking for?
I"ll go with a few bases with no other alcohol mixing to keep the base pure...
Quervo and ginger ale surprisingly refreshing.

Smirnoff and cranberry juice with 1/2 fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons sugar blended with ice

Kalua and half&half over ice

E&J orange sherbert and half & half

I like the Evan and Coke simple and goes down easy
