If my recollection serves me right, I believe he represents the state of Connecticut. But no matter, I'm sure I'll find out whether I'm right or wrong sooner or later.

Anyway, I've never thought much of him, except that he always wears funny lookin' multi-colored ties and pink dress shirts. But yesterday, I was on my lunch break at work and I turned on C-SPAN. He had the floor for about ten minutes, and his topic was the usual Health Care debate. I immediately expected more of the same Obama bashing and mud-slinging, but did none of that.

He simply explained his disagreement with the current public option bill, to where hard working Americans should not be forced to accept the Health Care in which the government hands them. But he went on to say that in order for this bill to truley pass, the majority of both parties need to be unanimous together and not to be coerced into a far-left or far-right policy to the downfall of all Americans. The current bill doesn't cover everyone, and people need to be able to make thier own choices on this.

Anyway, from what I gathered, he seems like an honest man without axes to grind. Still, he is a Senator, and so he lives off the contributions of lobbyists. Beyond that, he hasn't made much of splash yet, and that is why I'm curious about him and what he has accomplished. Or better yet, what he has tried to accomplish. People who are very much underrated intrigue me, more than those who are out there always in the spotlight and obvious.

I'd like to find out what his stance is in regards to unwanted kids crapping out more and more unwanted kids, and the needed drastic measures of mandatory sterilization.

He's from Utah, and yes he's a very good guy known for his bipartisanship. I doubt though that you'll find him in favor of mandatory sterilization. Very few I think would support that.

Plus he is ensconced sufficiently securely that he can say and do as he pleases, legislatively, and everyone knows better than to mess with the man.

Plus, he's a very good song writer.

Hmmm. I'd be interested in maybe a link you could post that shows his songwriting material. I'm guessing that perhaps he plays piano and/or guitar as well?

Hatch is an ignorant douche bag.

Hatch Takes Aim at Illegal Downloading

WASHINGTON - The chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee said Tuesday he favors developing new technology to remotely destroy the computers of people who illegally download music from the Internet.

The surprise remarks by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, during a hearing on copyright abuses represent a dramatic escalation in the frustrating battle by industry executives and lawmakers in Washington against illegal music downloads.

During a discussion on methods to frustrate computer users who illegally exchange music and movie files over the Internet, Hatch asked technology executives about ways to damage computers involved in such file trading. Legal experts have said any such attack would violate federal anti-hacking laws.

WASHINGTON – Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today voted against David Ogden, President Obama’s nominee for Deputy Attorney General of the United States.

Hatch issued the following statement to explain why he could not support the president’s nominee:

“Mr. Ogden has represented pornographers and those seeking to eliminate restrictions on sexually explicit material in many cases over more than 20 years. At his confirmation hearing in February, I noted how an article appearing on the pornography industry’s newswire praised Mr. Ogden’s nomination and the executive director of the porn industry’s legal defense group called it refreshing. They apparently do not draw a sharp distinction between their views and Mr. Ogden’s own. At his hearing and in answers to Senators’ written questions, Mr. Ogden appeared to lack sufficient knowledge or appreciation for the grave harms that pornography consumption brings to individuals, families, and communities. This does not bode well for the Department of Justice’s commitment to enforcing federal anti-obscenity laws.

Orrin Hatch: pretended to be friends with Ted Kennedy, only to spend the last several months pissing all over Kennedy's legacy.

Fuck him.

I see it as Ted Kennedy pretended to be friends with Hatch.
Orrin pissed on his legacy ? What...did he bring up Chappaquiddick? Or was it when Ted called Miguel Estrada a Neanderthal ? Maybe his hi-tech lynching of Clarence Thomas ?
His legacy stretches for decades...getting hammered to the point of falling down in some Martha's Vineyard pub perhaps...?

Well, considering the world of hurt our great country is currently in, the attempts that Senator Hatch has made at trying to restrict certain pornographers from flourishing seems to be the least of my worries. Not that I agree with that type of take-down, but we've got much more important challenges to face and hurdles that need to be jumped over.

My current attendance of this particular website is merely just a resource that I use to try and express my views and interests, but if it was to ever to get canceled out, I'll live. And so will the rest of us. Knock on wood.

What I'm mostly interested in are the real issues concerning our economic crisis, and where people like Orrin Hatch stand. So, if you have any more info regarding his voting records on the war, health care, education, homeland security, MANDATORY STERILIZATION, the death penalty (which I'm opposed to), civil rights, the environment, ect............I'd like to read up on whatever else you Lit fuckers have. Meanwhile, I'll check out the public broadcasting networks. Thank you.

RE: Hats off to Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch.

Please kill yourself.

Yeah, keep on sayin' that shit to people, and one day you may say it to the wrong person who actually does kill themselves. And then you'll have their tragic death on your conscience.

That is, if you actually have a conscience. How about you try and be a little more original and tell me somethin' I haven't heard.

I can't believe it, I agree with KingOreo.

I don't want you to kill yourself, Theriot. Suicide cleanups cost taxpayers money. ;)

But...if you do decide to hang yourself, can I borrow twenty bucks first? :D

No you can't borrow twenty bucks, I'm sorry. And I'm not contemplating suicide for these fellow Lit fuckers, are you kidding me?........Of course you are.

And besides, I've got more important people in my life than you to spend my money on once my paycheck does come in. It's not personal, so there's been no offense given or taken.

Orrin Hatch is a fucking cunt. He was the lead singer during the Clinton/Lewinsky Witch-hunts.

Pencil-neck douchebag...

There are only about three people in Utah who support mandatory sterilization.

However, in other states there are lots of people who support the mandatory sterilization of people in Utah.

Looking like the Senate bill is toast and there's a lot of bipartisan happiness with that.
