A guy that I have known since the fall of 99 and used to play many a RTS game with claims to hate me now. I don't really play this game anymore but I still hang out on their forum because I Like the company.
April of last year people were talking about how most of us have never seen one another and how weird that was. I mean we have been hanging out online in one form or another for 2 years or more. I had just gotten pictures back from a spring fromal that I had been too so I put one up.
My gf was also in the picture with me and I did not have any of just myself. That same picture along with many others are on the board some where. This starts a huge thread with people making jokes and comments which is kind of what I expected. I did not expect it to get as bad as it did because I had forgoten many of the people on this forum are young. I was 21 at the time and was probably the 2nd or 3rd oldest person in our little community.
Names were called, insults were thrown, jokes were made, one guy took the picture and edited it to fuck it all up then posted it. I got pretty mad and retaliated then said that I guess I was wrong about the maturity of this place. I thought you people could handle pictures but since you can't I will remove mine.
A few other people had posted pics of themselves/gf's and did the same. Pretty much everyone just let this little incident blow over and I appolgized to some of the people. I even made up with the kid who made the edited picture. I said that I overreacted and was sorry. He said that he was sorry and was just playing around. He did not think that the picture would cause so much trouble.
This one guy who cliams to hate me never seemed to have forgoten this incident. Whenever someone posts about things from real life on the board he gets all pissy and mad. I would call it overreacting in the extreme to get that mad about someone posting things from their personal life on the board. He says that they are just bragging and should shut up about it.
I finaly asked him point blank when exactly he started disliking me. I assumed it had something to do with the whole Picture incident. I did not expect the response I got.
He said, "Ever since you posted that picture of your ugly gf and then ensuing aftermath."
I thought I knew this guy but I guess I did not. I mean that just seems like such a very trivial and shallow thing to hate someone for. Even after all the stuff he has done I don't hate him. I dislike him and I find him kind of sad/pathetic, but I don't hate him. He seems to truly hate me or at least belive that he does. For the most part he will only respond with negative no text posts to anything i say and will say he hates me in posts that don't have anything to do with me.
There I feel a lot better getting that off my chest. I just find it very disturbing when someone you think you know does something so completly odd like this.
I don't think I hate anyone. There are many people I dislike, but no one I can think of that I truly hate.

I don't hate anyone. I may use that term on many occasions, but, I've always used taht word for something/someone that really pissed me off.
