Has US led regime change ever worked out?

I'm saddened that you have abandoned the will to take over Canada, Panama, or Greenland and are here asking if the same can now happen in, checks notes, Venezuela. :(

I was thinking Iraq but the US installed Saddam then uninstalled him and hung him. But still the new guy is keeping it together so far.

Has US led regime change ever worked out?

Yes, it has.

First off, when the US ousted the British regime in 1775-1783 it worked out pretty good.

Then when we ousted the Mexicans from Texas that worked out nicely.

Removing the Spanish from a number of places worked well for most.

Changing the governments in Germany and Japan ended a war and helped turn those two countries into stable democracies.

Removing the fucking Russians from Eastern Europe was a remarkable success. (Letting the fuckers have half of Europe at Yalta was a resounding fuckup on the part of FDR.)

Supporting the formation of Israel in 1949 over the objections of the British wasn't too bad.

Ousting Manuel "Pineapple Face" Ortega's regime in Panama worked well.

We supported independence in East Timor despite objections from Indonesia and that ended a genocide. I'm sure the Timorese consider existence to be an improvement over the alternative.

Etc.
