Has this happened to anyone else?

I just tried to send my edits to my publisher. The ISP that handles my e-mail sends a message back, "No can do. We think your e-mail is spam."

WTF?!

So I sent it through gmail.

Still, kinda pissed.

Sounds frustrating. I have the same problem at the opposite end sometimes. I have to go into my junk-mail folder to rescue things which have been filtered as spam.

AOL does that really bad. I've rarely been able to send messages or pictures to my friends who only have AOL. Replying to a message is the worst (a lot of SPAM filters bounce those back).

Did you send it as rgraham666?

Some e-mail spam filters reject any name with figures in it.

I have difficulty with some German friends. Their email handle ends with a year, and the spam filter rejects them 2 out of 3 times. So I have to check ALL my spam to make sure I don't miss a real message.

I'd always got loads of spam and thought I'd cracked it when I bought a SpamKiller programme - until I found I wasn't getting emails through that I was expecting.

I decided to turn it off and suddenly these emails I'd been waiting for came through, in triplicate, because I'd be telling the senders I hadn't received them.

I've had this spamkiller for a couple of years and now I know what has happened to emails in the past. There is nothing in these emails that could be regarded as spam.

I wouldn't use one again, I'll sort through all my emails and deal with the rubbish myself.
