Has there been a big change in new story notifications?

I have one that went up this morning. Checking stats, less than 500 reads have been recorded. Previous stories by this time of day, the read count has been well above 1000, usually 1300-1600. It's fourth or fifth down from the top in the category (GS) list, and halfway down the second page of the "new stories" list.

Frankly, I don't know what to think. Are "reads" being counted differently now, such as click-outs from the first page no longer tabulated? The new formatting of the home page discouraging readers? Did the story post at 10:00 a.m. CDT instead of 2:00, as it did in the past?

Something is different, that's all I can discern.

I don't see a difference in the site's presentation. Your story is on the 2nd page of the New list and in the middle of the Group list, so sort of a middlin' situation. Fridays are sometimes slow days.

Maybe the stats aren't current?

I've seen no changes at all in any of my stats over the past several stories.
