...to get his own supporters on board?

to be clear, i'm not saying he hasn't, just that i don't think i've heard much from him at all on the subject bar one or two pieces. is he doing more that's simply not getting coverage, or has he let it all slide? having listened to bernie in the past, i would hope he's out there (even if it's virtually) urging his more left-leaning people to bite the bullet and evict trump from the whitehouse. am i too optimistic?

.
His voice doesn't carry much weight among those who are jockeying for power on the far left.

That's the problem with the far left and far right. They're is a constant battle to see who can out-extreme the current "leading voices" of their respective movements.

ok, but those die-hards of his base, the ones he said he'd get onboard to vote trump out? have you seen him trying to do this? again, not saying he hasn't made teh attempts just that i've not seen them, so maybe he's doing it on social media and it's not being picked up by the big tv news channels? i want him to be a man of his word and if he IS doing it, and it's not getting reported on tv, they're doing biden a disservice.

Bernie shows up about weekly, saying the supportive things for Biden--and criticizing Trump. Don't know what he's doing behind the scenes. I don't see him tramping around the country helping Democrats in the down elections. But then he's not a Democrat.

Bernie won't campaign for Biden until the DNC cuts him a check so he can purchase his 4th home.

The Bernie Bros are backing Howie and the Green Party as they pursue that magical 5% of the popular vote. Every Bernie Bros vote for Howie is a vote for Trump.

You’re right he’s been quiet, hope he’s not pouting and helping to fuck things up again.

One of my daughters b-bros was all fuck that we’re not voting to which I pointed out the cutting off the nose to spite the face thing and to consider Biden as a placeholder...even though the government will never go full green new deal Bernie.

so he's not podcasting or tweeting daily, nothing like that?

did she take that on board and maybe will vote biden, dya think? or was she just polite to your face and dismissive afterwards putting it down to 'old person stuff'? we all know you can't tell a youngster how to think, nor should we, just illuminate alternate paths they might choose to take and hope they make a decision that'll work out best for the most people.

I don't know. I don't follow either of those. Does Bernie tweet?
i would have thought so but i don't follow. it's only this past few weeks i've even rejoined to read more on the election stuff and only made 2 posts.

I wouldn't be surprised if neither Bernie nor Biden are on twitter--themselves rather than some political aide.

Was a guy friend of hers, but her friends actually respect what I have to say so hopefully the latter.

Don't need his supporters. For every vote of theirs we lose, the Republicans lose a vote because an old person dies. That makes them what they are...a wash.

Bernie is on Face Book a lot hyping Biden to suburban women, I suppose.

Some of my Oregon family, friends and Army buddies are Trumpers, but I give them no slack. My Calif family are Fuck Trumpers so we get along.

Sanders was political dead meat after 2016. Unfortunately, the old fool hung around long enough to stuff up the primaries in 2019/2020. Younger, smarter folk have passed him by.

He can go back to re-naming post offices for a year or two.

If you are attempting to win over the middle, how does the constant reminder of Bernie and the Socialist wing of your party aid your cause?

If the Republicans are the party of old people, then why is Biden the Democrat candidate?

there are no undecided votes. Either you support the fascist Republican...or are against the fascist Republican

I don't think that speaking in absolutes indicates truth because there are always undecideds in every election. Also, you would appear to be more informed and reasonable if you learned the definition of Fascism.

Sanders has been out in the battleground states ...

https://www.metrotimes.com/news-hit...in-macomb-county-to-stir-up-support-for-biden

And Bernie bros have mobilized as well ...

https://www.aviationanalysis.net/su...rs-help-joe-biden-build-his-hispanic-support/

Biden should pick up a significant number of people in battleground states who would've voted for a democrat four years ago, but just couldn't vote for Hillary. This should include quite a few Bernie supporters who likely just stayed home last time.

What are a handful of Sanders supporters compared to the bucketfuls of Trump haters? It would seem to me that the former is merely a subset of the latter.

The only thing undecided at this point is whether someone will vote or not.

Early comparisons to four years ago point to a significantly higher turnout this time, especially with early voting. That doesn't bode well for Trump. Time will tell though.

Those that choose not to vote, are complicit to supporting a fascist Republican. If they didn't learn 4 years ago...they will never learn.
