Did it work??? Its supposed to make your penis more sensitive. I'm older and it takes me forever to ejaculate. Any suggestions?

After looking at the ingredients and googling to see if there's any solid evidence backing LovRub's claims about the topical application of the "active" agents such as l-arginine, this wouldn't be a product I'd spend my money on. I also find it odd that just about everything that talks about l-arginine topically is from 2003 or earlier. To me, that suggests it's likely an old claim/fad that wasn't promising enough for additional, ongoing research.

The other ingredients listed are the same as those found in many sensation lubes. Menthol and certain other ingredients applied topically can increase bloodflow and produce tingling and warming sensations (sometimes to the point of irritation or pain). I'd bet that those ingredients--not the others listed--are what improves sensitivity to some extent. Of course you could get the same effect with just about any lube that contains menthol and similar sensation-producing ingredients.

You should come to your own decision after doing your own research, though. Make sure you know if your partner has any sensitivities and test any new lube on both of you at a non-sexual time when you have easy access to a shower. A lot of women here (myself included) have mentioned major irritation/pain problems with sensation lubes, and it's not fun to find that out in the heat of the moment!

Thanks, thats very helpful.

Its very frustrating that I find so much information on premature ejaculation, but hardly any info on having to work yourself into a state of exhaustion to cum.

There's plenty of info on delayed ejaculation.

Do you also have trouble coming when you're masturbating?

Have you talked to a doctor about this?

For many men with this issue, there's an underlying psychological roadblock and/or they've gotten too accustomed to their specific masturbation routine (certain fantasies, visual cues, no/less lube, a strong grip, a specific position, etc.) and/or they need to lay off the masturbation for a while.

Medications and certain conditions can also cause delayed ejaculation/difficulty orgasming.

If I were you, I'd consider those possibilities, try what I could on my own (e.g. working on mental issues, changing up my masturbation routine), and then talk to a doctor. If, for instance, it could be the result of a medication, perhaps the doctor could prescribe one that's less likely to have sexual side effects. Or if it's likely a function of a medical condition or age, maybe a combo of lifestyle changes and an ED medication would do the trick.

My doctor advises its caused by my age, type 2 diabetes and some resulting neuropothy. Luckily I don't have a problem with ED, my diabetes is well under control and I'm not overweight. The problem is it sometimes takes a couple hours and enough energy to run the Boston Marathon for me to ejaculate. Thank God I have a very patient partner.

Have you talked to you doctor about the delayed ejaculation and asked if an ED medication could help/might be worth a try specifically?

Just because you don't have problems getting it up doesn't mean you don't have a dysfunction or a medication typically prescribed for ED wouldn't help. Off-label prescriptions for issues like this aren't uncommon as far as I know, and many people find ED drugs enhance sensitivity/pleasure. They might be worth a try if they're not contraindicated, at least; maybe your doc even has some samples you can test drive.

Otherwise, have you tried things like adding anal, prostate and vibe stimulation and keeping sex as fresh as possible, physically and mentally?

And if you want to go the supplement route, you might check out this thread from a couple of days ago. The OP has a different issue, but you may find some of the suggestions worth investigating and talking to your doctor about.

I have used all three ED meds, and still use them occasionally but they don't make it any easier to ejaculate. My penis just isn't as sensitive to touch as it once was. I hoped I might find a cream or lotion that made the nerve endings tingle and be supersensitive. One thing we've tried is screwing with an egg vibe inside her. The extra vibration seems to help me cum. But its hard to keep it in the right place and kind of cumbersome.

Can she hold the vibe against her clitoris during intercourse instead of inside her? That's the only way I can reach orgasm during intercourse with my husband and he really enjoys the vibrating sensations and actually enjoys sex with the vibrator MORE than without, so I know from what he's said that he can feel them just fine, even though the vibe is outside instead of internal.
