they're 'Apple Picking' so they say on the news.

can ya' imagine what they're talking about?? i kno :)

People are stealing apples?

yeah, apples. lol

that's what i said too, but as i kept watching it. they were talking about how urban thugs in NYC are walking around the streets, looking to see who has a i-phone on them an are using it as they're walking... than the thugs just run by them an snatch the apple. lol

People have tried to take my iPhone, too. Mostly family, as a prank.

They did not succeed.

i'm happy with my galaxy

Jokes aside, I don't have much against androids. I just think they are cheaply (poorly) made.

And over the course of two years, I went through about five blackberries and two droids. The iPhone is the only thing that has endured my cruel, heavy usage for more then eight months. And besides, it's sexy.

I was happy with my galaxy until last night. I would still be happy with it if I knew where it was.
And personally, even though my son has and iPod touch and an iPad, I won't pay for an apple product. I've never been a fan.

Apple is expensive, but I don't mind paying for quality. I need reliability in a smart phone, and so far the iPhone is simply the only thing that has been reliable for me.

i'm planning on getting one.. i'm just waitin' for the price to go down a bit.

money isn't a issue, is the fact you're almost paying half of a thousand dollars, just for a fucking phone, ya dig? lol

Meh. I don't worry about money or price much, so when there's something I need then I just buy it.

Though, I didn't pay full price either.

you got it on 'SALE' or someone sold you it used?

Neither. I got the phone its self for less then half the full price by getting a contract.

Though, with the contract, you still end up paying way more then even the full price of the phone. Dumbass stingy cell phone companies.

oooh hell no, i don't fuck wit contracts man.. you'll end up getting fucked over, specially if you made it with 'Verizon' scheming asses.

Did you get it as soon as it came out?
More often than not if you go onto a plan (contract) here the phone is free. It's why I am so pissed off about misplacing my galaxy. I still have a year of the plan to go. Luckily Vodafone are going through a shit time here with keeping people properly connected and I've been with them for years so I should be able to convince them to let me out of the current contract and start a new one.

And it doesn't technically work out more expensive because the extra you're paying you would be spending on calls anyway.

This one I got brand new, yes. The iPhone 4S, I got it last December. I haven't gotten the iPhone 5 though, and I probably won't for a while. I'll just use this one until it dies of old age and heavy usage.

And, here, Cell phone companies charge crazy amounts. The smaller companies that offer cheaper and no contract plans are starting to carry the iPhone, but Verizon is just nuts.

verizon wants you to pay exactly the amount, so if you're a penny short for the bill, boooooom! you're cut off til you pay.

I don't know about you, but I make it a habit of paying my bills in full, and on time. So I've never had this problem, Verizon or otherwise...

Why get a new phone when the old one is still working?

The old one wasn't working when I got this one.

Like I said, over the course of less then two years I went through about five blackberries and two droids. I did not upgrade them, the stopped working. The iPhone was just because I was tired of both of them, and was curious about it. And, surprisingly, it's worked out quite well for me.

And there are reasons to upgrade to a new phone when the old one still works, but most of them don't apply to me. My phone is only a generation old, so upgrading it now wouldn't give me a whole lot of benefits. So I'll wait for a couple more versions, or until this one dies.

I'm curious to see how long it will take for it to die, though. The damn little thing has survived torture under my hands.

You are the first person I have heard describe them as durable, which has me a little curious about them because I've killed those specifically designed tough phones in the past.

Though I must admit I am seriously starting to consider a basic old school phone that just makes calls and texts. That way I might just get actual call quality rather than having to constantly say "sorry, I missed that" repeatedly.
