Has anyone else seen Donnie Darko?

Ok, I watched this movie last night with about 10 other people and everyone was glued to the screen. But when the film ended, half of them were thoroughly confused and the other half, who claimed to get it said they couldn't explain, which to me means they didn't get it but aren't willing to admit it.

I think I might get part of what the film was trying to say, but I'm not at all confident in these ideas. So I figured I'd see if anyone else had an opinion on it.

Either way, it was a great movie (I don't think you always have to understand things to appreciate them) and I recomend it for the expirience alone.

I saw it this evening. It's definitely a weird movie, and some things you're left wondering about until the end, but well worth your time if you want things a little odd. :)

I love things a little odd. Which was why I got it. But the thing that I can't seem to figure out is the role of Frank. Was he real, or did Donnie somehow get the image of him in some time loop? Was he a warning or an innocent bystander?

I thought it was fabulous. I also think that it's questionable on purpose...and that it's all about how our perceptions is our reality.

Frank was very real. But I hesitate to say more. Don't want to spoil it for others.

Then pm me April, because I would love to hear ANY theories on Franks!
