Has anyone else noticed...

:(

I really need a new playmate, or two. Preferably not at the same time, mind you, but... *sigh*

In case no one has noticed the subtle and not-so-subtle hints shereads and I have been giving the past few months, we really need a few more talented writers over at the Sexual Role Playing Forum

Pretty please?

Sex, sex, sex. It's always about sex with you Sexual Role Playing people. Sex is not a game! It's a science, best performed by engineers within the boundaries of a corporate structure.

I know. My depravity knows no end.

Somebody punish me?

:D

I can't enter Idaho while the Homeland Security thingy remains in force, but if you hang those buns over the border ditch I'll take a swing with a spruce tree limb. Sorry, best I can do.

Okay, I went over there, and>>>

I read one of the stories, and found myself bored to tears. Sorry, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to get to page two of anything. And that's why I don't go there too often.

I am sure you are looking for male playmates and authors so I humbly nominate Mr. Rumple ;)

Ahem. You cannot be talking about one of my stories or one of McKenna's stories, because that would just be rude, Dirt Man, and i'd have to punish you. As a submissive, that just goes against the grain. So you'd have to punish me, and where's the justice in that?

Choosing one story out of the SRP has to be about as valid a way to evaluate the forum as choosing one story from the zillions that have been submitted and posted. True, not every one is a gem, but some of your own actual Authors have participated with us and found the experience quite punishing. I mean gratifying. You know what I mean, right?

At any rate, Mckenna isn't asking for readers, but for writers. SRP works just like a chain story written chapter by chapter by two or more people. But without the story scores and the insensitive critiques.

Seriously, the only way to be bored by the experience of writing in roleplay would be if you're bored by your own writing or if you've partnered with someone with whom you have no chemistry. SRP is addictive when it works. Like cyber-sex but with longer and more detailed descriptions of who does what to whom.

Would I be hanging them North or South? :D

South would be my choice, but north is my offer. Come to think about it, if you bare those buns in this direction there may be no need for the spruce. Nature will turn them red enough without my assistance. Good! Never was much of a lumberjack anyway.

That's interesting. I was very disappointed in cybering. I found I did all the work, and while I was happy to bring happiness to others, it was rather unrewarding at my end. I found I was frequently pounced upon, so I seldom visit chat any more. If SRP is more equal, maybe I should give it a try. Does it operate in real time like chat, or is it a message board like the AH?

You're right it was rude just reading one story, but in my defense it was an extremely boring story. I picked it because it was only two pages long thus far, and wanted to get a feel for the place. I also picked it because it was a story involing the sea as I've been a professional sailor all of my life until I retired to write full time. In any event the story was very boring. (Oh yeah, I said that already.) And I was just too tired to read anything else at the time. Maybe later.

As Always
I Am the
Dirt Man

PS: Yes McKenna, many of the story submissions are boring too.

McKenna, to answer your original question, Manu posted on the site announcements forum that they are doing some small upgrades and that the forums might run slow for a short period of time.

I love the occassional SRP! I am in one right with Mckenna and to be honest just reading through them probably won't inspire you to join in....actually joining in is the only way to really get a feel for it! I recommend anyone to have a go..it's great fun and very sexy!

i love the unpredictability of it :) you never know what is coming next....

Colly,

You're way too good to me. :) However, until I finish the re-write of my WIP (adding a chapter, hunting for stray adverbs, etc.) and get it off to an agent, my time is not mine.

Dirt Man, for what it's worth and IMHO, the Raymond Chandleresque story Shereads and Dr. Mabeus put together was a well-done hoot.

I can't be too good to you Rumple, I am good, but a thousand or so miles puts a damper things :) As to suggesting you, you are one of my favorite male authors here so it's only natural to think your talents would be appreciated on the SRP :)

Good luck hunting adverbs :)

Colly, thank you for nominating Mr. Rumple, and Mr. Rumple when you're ready, I'll take you on. I do hope you enjoy a challenge? ;)

I wanted to say Colly, that as wel as writing role-playing scenarios, I love to read them, too, especially from talented writers. I'm sure you could find someone there to write with in the scenarios you enjoy if you were so inclined. :)

I honestly don't have any idea what the SRF is about. I simply have a lot of faith in Der Rumple to be able to do most anything well :)

Mack:

On the SRP for a couple months I enjoyed most of my experiences writing with others but eventually wanted to do it all myself. There were two men who wrote very well and I still feel bad for abandoning one, but the other abandoned me.

My character was intentionally submissive to his dominant tendencies (not the usual types, we were tres chic and literary, he was inordinately shy). In one scene I had my character decide to not submit. In the next post my partner wrote her a farewell letter. Made me larf.

Perdita

p.s. ex-partner was from Yorkshire (not Gauche though, haha)

Performing moose can be taught to appear to count, but whether they actually understand the math is a topic of intense debate in moose-trainer circles.
