I'm such a geek![]()
Who else is a HP fan?
Neomagalie said:I wish there was CC in movies too in the US since when there is a lot of noises or voices at once or long big wordsI seem to loose my English. I always use CC when watching TV or movies at home.
I am waiting for the French version of Harry Potter so still a while to go *sigh* 1st of October

Ok . . . what's he doing?
graceanne said:I think it would be great if they put CC on movies in the US, but I know it would bug the heck out of K. But my hearing isn't so great, and their's some people I just cannot hear! I don't even bother going to movie theathers anymore. Between the seats being too tall, and tons of food I can't have, and not hearing I just end up ticked and in a bad mood.

I can't wait to read it. I can't decide if I want to build the anticipation a little more and re-read the series before reading the new one or just dive right in. Who am I kidding.....I won't be able to wait!!![]()
Some people are just unbelievable! It's a children's book, so I would figure kids get the first grab, even if some adults would have to wait. Waiting is so much worse when you're a kid.serijules said:I wonder if this year will be like last. There were plenty of books at Walmart for everyone that was there waiting, especially since they limited it to two each, but there were still tons of adults pushing kids out of the way and generally acting like complete fucking idiots.
There was one father there that got an empty cart and was shoving people out of the way with it to get to the stack of books once they uncovered it, and nearly knocked down this little kid who's mom allowed her to go and get the book herself. Then there was the lady that actually grabbed a book out of another kids' hand, telling her to "let the adults go first honey". I was floored...can't believe people would act like that, especially when there was zero reason to as there were plenty of books to go around.

graceanne said:And where was this childs mother? Some lady did that to my kid, and I'd rip her a new asshole.
serijules said:Both parents of those kids were kind of standing back a bit, watching them but not right up there WITH them. Both were like 9 years old or something. I think everyone was a bit shocked that anyone could be acting that ridiculous, and the kids were insistant that they wanted to go and pick out a book *themselves* and not have mom and dad do it for them. I didn't see if the parents reacted, but the lady behind me in the checkout was ranting about it.
graceanne said:See, I can see letting the kid go get the book themselves. I'd have let my chidl do that too. But if someone had taken a book right out of their hands, or nearly mowed them over with a cart, I'd have raised holy living hell. I probably would have got kicked out of the store. Nobody fucks with my kids.
Betticus said:I'm still waiting for Snape to spank Hermione to her first orgasm!![]()
Betticus said:It's a good thing that Anne Rice didn't write this series.
serijules said:I have to wait till that comes out on vid, sigh....being deaf, going to the theater is pointless for meI hate waiting!
canadiancutie said:aww, go to the library, get the book, and read the lines while watching Johnny Depp do the actions *insert orgasm here*
Edit- But you would have to bring a flashlight....theaters are dark
serijules said:Errr, I found Johnny Depp hot when I was 12 and was addicted to 21 Jump Street and Cry Baby. I want to see it for the movie, not for some...guy. *wrinkles nose*

graceanne said:That's sick. Johnny Depp is . . . well even when the movie sucks you can just mute it and perv on him. *sigh*
Especially in Pirates of the Caribbean.![]()
serijules said:Yeah, well, if he was a girl I might agree haha
graceanne said:Ok, i'm a bit confused. You found him hot when you were 12, but now you don't find men hot at all?
I figured you were just bi, and happened to be with a mistress right now.
If it's not my business, just say so. I know I'm being nosy.
