Harris/Whitmer

Is there a possibility here that this ceases to be an issue of whether Biden withdraws his candidacy, and shifts to one of whether he should stand down from the Presidency now ?

And if so, does that lock in Harris as the runner ?

As long as we're talking conspiracy theories, who gave Biden covid? Trump? Harris? Or the Russians? :)
 
Covid is airborne. No reason to think any farther into it than someone didn't wipe down a glass they handed him.
 
If Biden drops, which I doubt Jill and his handlers will let him do, Harris won't even make the first cut, and that will spark of a Democrat infight to end all infights.

Altho if Biden drops, he would also have to stand down as President, because how can you stand down because you're done like a dead dingo's dinner, and still be capable of being the President. And if Harris becomes the President, how can you not nominate her....and she's less popular than Biden.

Now if Biden hangs in the convention, and then withdraws, that's a different story obviously. But it leaves even less time for the replacement to get going and Biden's funds don't just xfer over. Jill and Hunter will find a way to loot them first.....

He hasn't got covid. It's Parkinson's and he took a sudden turn for the worse. Add in dementia and he's looking pretty screwed. I'd almost feel sorry for him except the evil old shit deserves it.

Wasn’t directed at you specifically. Many Biden supporters on this board totally rejected the notion that Biden was losing his grip. The idea that his own party would wake up was preposterous. Now we have a couple threads started by fervent Biden supporters dedicated to his exit watch and replacement discussion.

I put these up because Newsom is toxic in the rust belt - all those swing states.

I'm still in the camp that Biden should not step aside. However I'm not a dumbfuck coward who will stay home when it comes to voting so I'll vote for a potato chip before I'll vote for Trump.

Will people actually show up to vote if the ticket is changed? Will it motivate any of the youth, double haters or laissez faire voters?

Considering what happened to Bernie - all rally/no vote - this needs to be looked at. If we make the switch to win, can we still win if we switch?

This is fairly relevant to this thread, so I’ll leave this comment here:

I just watched an interview with the head of a large Nikki Haley group who stated categorically that his voters will NOT vote for Trump after Nikki Haley’s endorsement.

Those voters were open to voting for President Biden, but if he drops out, they would have to see who the replacement candidate is. The guy being interviewed said it would all depend on if his group of voters felt the replacement candidate was “in the center”. (Apparently they feel President Biden is “in the center” enough to vote for him.)

So will someone please tell me who the replacement would be that is as “in the center” as President Biden and could retain those Never - Trump - Nikki Haley voters???

I’m not even sure Kamala Harris could pull those voters - but maybe. She certainly isn’t a "leftist."

Oh, he's been declining for years. But this seems to be a sudden worsening of the decline. He looked baadddddd, and covid was nothing to do with it. They were lying yet again. LOL. But in all honesty, the surprise would be if they didn't lie.
