Happy?

If you're not happy, then you're doing something wrong....

I'm not happy nor am I unhappy.... I'm somewhere in the middle, which at my time in life is all that anyone can ask....

Ok...you just gave me a headache and made me confused... ;)

I'm confused too.

I think what i mean is that if your main goal is happiness, you won't find it. Happiness isn't really a goal. you have to take it when you find it. It's the ability to enjoy what you have while you're on your way. To enjoy the trip, I suppose.

People who say, "I just want to be happy" IMO never will be. You have to be able to accept happiness, not strive for it. You can measure your hapiness against how you are reaching your goals or values- or you can use another marker. But if your goal is 'being happy' you have nothing to build that happiness upon. And if you aren't capable of being happy in the present (the only moment we have) you won't be capable of being happy in some future present just because you have more (chose one: success, children, money, peace, food, tv channels, shoes).

I don't know if that makes much sence or not.

I'm still around to bitch about it.

Everything after that is gravy.

lol, exactly.

There will always be something to bitch about.
There will always be something to enjoy.

It's your own mindset that determines your hapiness. Just like your own mindset (not how much money you have) determines your level of greed or generosity. People who only focus on the negative in there lives will do the same thing if/when they get what they think they want/need to be happy.

Your philosophy is beautiful, humourous and ballanced.:D

You're an inspiration. :rose:
