Cranberry sauce has been made

I just made cranberry sauce tonight too! Orange cranberry sauce, to be exact. I think it turned out really good. I don't think I've ever had homemade before. It was really easy.

I'm waiting for a particular family member to come home from her job before i start the cranberry sauce. The little miss has become a tyrant in the kitchen (whee, one less chore for me!)

 Happy Thanksgiving, my dear friends!

Canadian Thanksgiving was six weeks ago, when the weather's nice. ;)

But sending good wishes to all my American friends for their Thanksgiving. :)

I love the song from Addam's Family Values.

~ Eat us, hey, it's Thanksgiving day ~
~ Eat us, we make a nice buffet ~
~ We lost the race with Farmer Ed ~
~ Eat us 'cause we're good and dead ~

~ White man or red man ~
~ From East, North, or South ~
~ Chop off our legs ~
~ And put 'em in your mouth ~

~ Eat me ~
~ Sauteed or barbecued ~
~ Eat me ~
~ We once were pets, but now we're food ~
~ We won't stay fresh for very long ~
~ So eat us before we finish this song ~

~ Eat us before we finish this song!~

Maybe I just like the Eat me part.

Would you prefer gravy or cranberry sauce, Sarahh?

Or just the, eh, 'natural juices' . . . .

Be ready! That's the boy scout motto.

We shoulda' had co-ed jamborees.

And made smores in our tents with whipped cream.

I love smores.

Actually, I just love chocolate.

I could do without the marshmallow and graham crackers.

Yeh--those other things just get in the way of the chocolate.

And I'm guessin' you like fudge too.

Good fudge is a religious experience! Especially the mixed flavor kinds. :D

Fudge doesn't melt as well as chocolate.

It cannot be tasted from body parts.

Au contraire.

It melts slowly. Requiring longer and repeated licking . . . .

Rough on the sheets though. But the idea is to get all of it, no matter how long it takes. :D

Have a good one, everybody.

We tried to get the day off, but the wife has to work, and so do I. And it's pissing with rain, so.........we'll enjoy our celebration on Saturday, but out thoughts are with you all at your own celebrations.
