America in the run-up to World War 2, remarking how he made a similar appeal to the President of Turkey with great success.

2) The response from the highly antisemitic blue bloods at the US Department of State, who torpedoed Einstein's efforts. These diplomats did everything in their power to prevent Jewish professors of world renown from obtaining employment at their beloved Ivy League institutions, and worked had to keep the legendary "Jewish quotas" of students and faculties in the Ivy League active until well after World War 2.

Wrong. Israel started the war soon after it was created on Palestinian land in 1948. Israelis have been expanding and 'settling' on other people's farms ever since.
