It is June once again and we all know what that means...Its the month to be all things rainbow. Your mod and admin team wish you to have the best possible month you can.

So we are here hoping that all our LGBTQ+ people are going to have a lovely and proud month. And while we are not going to put up with any kind of discrimination or harassment of anyone we want you all to know we support (and some of the team are indeed under this umbrella as well.)

I myself am Pansexual. So with it being the month of the prideful I was thinking I would post some links for history and interesting pride facts.

The pride movement all started with the stone wall riots.

I found a not too long video on youtube.

I thought that was rather interesting so obviously we have these people to thank for the movement forward in being able to be who we are now.

I welcome people to feel free to share their stories and coming out if you feel comfortable with that. Also if you are one of those induviduals who are not not happy with this type of thread or pride month in general...well as per usual as we will do in the chat you will be removed. So there's the door darlings don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I do hope you all have an absolutely wonderful month and I will try and post here as often as I can but feel free to share some facts, history or personal stories (keep it 18+ if it gets sexy please as per site rules.)

Good morning (or what ever time of day you are seeing this.)

So I am going to attempt...to post something every day or every few days at least. It's not like I don't have a large amount of things to choose from which is lovely to see.

So I watch aloooot of youtube. And I thought maybe I could share some videos and creators I enjoy here as well that can give some history of Pride....Queer people from history....or just videos that are kind of hilarious and kinda gay.

I am also honestly a bit of a geek. I play and run table top games...I hang out in comic book stores and I am a life long trekkie thanks to my dad. So council of geeks is a youtuber I have discovered recently.

So one of the videos I found for you all today is this one..who knew that some pretty important figures might be wearing some rainbows now a days. *winks*

So enjoy and Happy pride my dears. :)

I came out as bi first to my late husband, then to a few Friend's, finally a couple years ago I announced it on my FB page..

Hello my darlings! I am so sorry I was away for a few days. I had a minor procedure on Tuesday that left me feeling sort of bleh for a few days. Feeling much better now and I am back to share some more things with you.

So not sure how many of you would be familiar with Buzzfeed and the try guys. If you are sort of terminally online like me might have seen videos about them and their drama. (ariel deserves better) But...4 years ago one the guys came out as gay. And well I have to admit in his Drag makeup...*chefs kiss* gorgeous. He does come from a semi traditional Korean family and he was terrified about telling his family least he get disowned...which is sadly and maddeningly a fear many face.

This is a video he made about his coming out and realizing he was gay journey...and they have raised a fuck ton of money for the Trevor project
https://www.thetrevorproject.org/

which suicide prevention is a very worthy cause in my opinion being neurospicy as I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder.

It an absolutely beautiful video and I highly recommend...as well as if you are questioning your sexuality (at any age this does not only affect young people sadly) You are not alone.

I was raised catholic..yeah yeah I know..for those who know me will be like well that did not work very well. But I admittedly was a tom boy as a kid and when I was 14 my first crush was on a girl. Now being the mid 90's (yes I am old) We still had dial up and was a few years away from windows 98 (1994 respectively) My first crush was on a girl who got the same bus as me. She this long blonde hair and gourgous green eyes. She might have been kind of plain looking to some but the first time I saw her was at a buskers festival we have every summer playing her violin. She looked positively radiant and I got my first actual girl crush.(yes there were celebrity crushes...but I mean yeah Nichelle Nichols and Winona Ryder were my big ones at the time lol) and then I started to realize I liked guys too...which was confusing to me since again barely any internet and rather sheltered...I had no idea Bi sexual was a thing let alone pan trans and all the others. I did know Gay and Lesbian..so yeah its ok to be confused...its ok to be kinky. Consenting adults and all that.

But here on lit not just June you get to be yourself. So even if you are not ready to come out...you can explore here..and if anyone is trying to be homophobic in anyway...then you tell the mods and we hit them with a shovel (well I do..the others have their own ways.)

My shovels name is Reginald by the way. πŸ˜πŸ’‹

Have a fabulous pride month darlings.

Hello dearies...its your auntie sunny again.

I found this link actually only just earlier today. It's about the first drag queen movie I ever saw and it is one I have always loved. It also made me think that the land down under was even cooler...lol

Priscilla queen of the dessert. I mean come on how can you not love General Zod , Agent Smith and Leonard from Memento as drag queens (well one is a trans lady but still in a drag show) I have to admit I dearly loved Bernadette although Mitzy and Felcia were lovely too but Bern was my favorite.

I watched this and was like wow...it was kind of a movie about a drag queen coming out to his son. But it is one I recommend watching even if you have never seen it. I do dearly love to wong foo...I mean I never knew that Patrick Swayze could be so pretty. lol But this was my first drag movie I saw it at a friends house and It made me happy.

Oh and just in case you are looking at Bob's wife and wondering where you might know her from all you millennials and maybe a few Gen Z's..*grins*. Thats Rita Repulsa from Mighty morphin power rangers. I cracked up at that.

Happy pride! 🌈 :kiss:β˜€οΈ

Hello all I am so so sorry I have not posted anything else until now. Life has been busy and I have been tired and being a Canadian the heat has made my fragile canuck constitution wilt a bit. To some 30C is not much but where I live air conditioning does not come standard in homes and that temperature is check on your old people, small children and pets weather.

so at work the other day we had a discussion of the different flags. I was wearing a shirt with the Pan pride colours as well as a trans co worker was wearing a pride flag dress as well as she ordered a bunch of pronoun pins for people to wear which I loved the she/her one..its purple and has an adorable moth on it.

so this does not cover all the flags but I do think its interesting.

https://www.health.com/mind-body/different-pride-flags-what-they-represent

so feel free to share what flag you consider your own or perhaps maybe this will help you think about which you might wave. Either way I hope you all have had an amazing pride month so far but also never be ashamed of who you are any time of the year. You are lovely and worth it.
