Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all! May 2011 find you happy, healthy and rarin to write poetry.

My dear friends may all that is right and wonderful in the world be within your grasp in 2011. Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to all the lovely people here, and I hope our Forum and our poetry thrives in 2011. Lots of love to all xx

Wishing a year of all things great and good and pretty and happy and cool and warm and cozy and jazzin and scrumptious for all.

Most of you will already be basking in 2011 - Tzara and I are still waiting for it to roll on in.

Wishing you all,
poets readers and lurkers alike,
a very happy and peaceful New Year.

Happy New Years guys! New Years Eve was last night Aussie time (its 3.55pm here). What ya'll do? I took my son to the beach to see the fireworks, bought him the world's most expensive ice cream (about $7.70 US), got hassled by the cops (I have a shaved head and facial tattoos; I was commiting the heinous crime of 'walking whilst looking different') and had a long walk home and a chat with my son (which I relished). We also saw some glow in the dark mushrooms.

You're one of the earliest to celebrate - just a couple of hours after New Zealand.
Of course you could go by solar time and have continuous east-west variation. I find that most useful to take into account for solar noon, especially in the summer. 95 W makes us 20 min behind (and should also take ephemeris into account).
My wife and I finished the year with a private moment and were subsequently resting in bed when my son and his friend came in the house well before midnight - just avoided embarrassment.
Today de-lighted the house - always less enjoyable taking decorations down than putting them up.
