HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNTIE!

Hoping it was a happy day for you and Min.

Thank you all, so very much. But nobody's late, not my actual birthday until tomorrow! Last night was a busy day for it, because of Mat Jr. coming down for the weekend just for that purpose. It was a great day. Shopping in the morning, then the kids arrived in the evening with 2 bottles of champagne. I was squiffy before we had to leave for the restaurant. Wonderful meal, more champagne, a stroll on the harbour front, and then a taxi home. Min was gleeful in the sight of me slightly tipsy.

I have a pile of gifts to open tomorrow from absent friends and family, but I've received wonderful gifts already.

Your good wishes and bouquets are happily accepted.

~Auntie~

Happy Birthday, Matriarch.

I hope that it will be the start of another wonderful year for you.

Happy Birthday, "old" woman! :kiss: :kiss: Wish I could take you to that restaurant in Baltimore for dinner in celebration!

That would be a wonderful reprise. One of these days. Only it can't be as hot and steamy as it was last time, I'd just melt!

Thank you all for your good wishes, I'm having a really hard time accepting that I'm now 60 years old, officially an Old Age Pensioner here in UK, and will be getting my state pension, my free bus pass, my free prescriptions, free eye tests, and no more national insurance contributions for the rest of my life. Oh, but I do have to work, the state pension (as predicted), just isn't enough to live on. But I'd rather do that.

Wondering what surprises I'll be getting at work......I opened some gifts and one friend at work multi-wrapped up and gave me a baby's bib (one of those plastic ones with a drip tray at the bottom), and a towelling covering on it which says '60 and still dribbling' - I have a tendency to drop food down my tops....I'm renowned for it. The bib made me laugh a lot......bless. I'll get my own back when she gets back from leave.

Gift list contains, at least two cuddly animals, a dog and a squirrel called Freddie, the bib, a couple of CDs, a bracelet/necklace set, a whole bundle of cash from my folks, £1 for each year (woohoo!!), a new pair of trainer/walking/terrain shoes, a wireless printer/scanner/copier, and the pinnacle, from my beloved wife....*drum roll*......a pass to drive a top of the range sports car around a real race track!! WOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!! I have ALWAYS wanted to do this and it's taken me 20 years to persuade one of my loved ones to do it for me. I can hardly wait. I have a choice between a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, a Porsche, and a whole host of others. Fantastic!!

Happy Birthday, Auntie! :rose::kiss::heart:

And I'd like pictures of the above, please!
