I think it started as a US thing and made its way over here, just like Halloween celebrations.

Mother's Day are different in both countries.......the UK is actually Mothering Sunday (a day set aside by the church), and its months before your Mother's Day.

nobody could ever take the place of my own dad, but my ex's dad really loved me and was always there for me... still miss him even though it's been almost 5 years since the breakup. He lives here in town but I know he wouldn't want to see me. Still, I always think of him on Father's Day because he will always mean a lot to me.

who says you have to be biological to be a papa? love him...its a wise and wonderful thing.

And as a father of several, they sure as fuck knew who daddy was and why and still is...and one by one, they come around to realizing that fathering a child is a bit more than a one night stand.

Both sons and daughters need fathers, get your ass out there and let them know, from both sides...

I've just had a brilliant day, with my whole family. I did a BBQ in my garden, then we all had a water fight.

My Dad and Brother went out and bought two Super Soakers. They were the worst of the lot. Bloody brilliant!

I just built a section of a fence today, but the kids bought me a remote keyboard and a universal TV remote! I think they want me to stay farther from them.
